Discussion Questions: Luke 15:25-32

Introduction:
Pray. Take a moment to pray asking God to guide you in reflecting upon the Scripture text.
Read the text. Since this our text (Luke 15:25-32), read 15:1-2, 11-24 as well as 25-32.
The bottom line from the sermon:
When our hearts are out of sync with Gods celebrating heart,
our lives begin to shrink and stink.

How is this text inviting us to participate in a community that exists for something greater than our own
wants and needs?

How do we need to change as a church community if we are to live out this text in our city?
What might it look like for us to join the celebration when someone comes home to the Father?
What is the cost if we are not transformed by this text?
3. How does this text speak to our city?
How does this text help us understand Gods mission in the city?
What kind of new life / future in Christ is this text calling our city to experience?
Conclusion:

What is the one thing you want to take away from this study to remember or to make a change in your
life? How does this text help you understand your need for Jesus? How does this text challenge you to
follow him?

was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.
