black shoes. Uniform should be labelled with childs name. P.E. Days: P1/2R Monday and Friday (Week 1) - Monday and Wednesday (Week 2) P2F Tuesday and Friday (Week 1) - Tuesday and Wednesday (Week 2) Children must have their P.E. kit on these days. It would be helpful if children could keep their P.E. kit in school with gym shoes until the end of each term when it will be sent home to be washed. Water bottles can be brought to school daily and taken home for cleaning. Home school bags and home learning diaries should be brought to school each day. Notes from home should be communicated in the diary and we will also communicate in the diary from time to time. Weekly school lunch orders should be given to the class teacher on a Monday morning. It is expected children come to school prepared for learning with a pencil, rubber and ruler. Letters, money, permission slips should be handed in to the class teacher please, not the school office. Children must always bring a jacket to school. We enjoy celebrating achievements. Please encourage your child to share these and bring in certificates, medals or a note of achievement e.g. riding their bike.
Respect, responsibility, kindness,
fairness and unity are Newton Primary Schools values. Children are expected to uphold these values at all times.
Efforts and high standards are expected
in Primary 1 and 2. Children are encouraged to always try their best and to take pride in their learning.
Children will experience a variety of
learning contexts in P1/2 and P2. In term 1, our context is Paddington Express. Parents are important in supporting learning. If you have a skill or knowledge to share, please let us know. We would also appreciate parental support for excursions taking place throughout the year. Thank you for your support,
Miss Rawding and Mrs Fitzgerald
and Mr Edwards
