The origin of Sin in Bible

The origin of sin the Bible has remained an interesting topic of discussion. Many
philosophers have tried to understand it and they explained it in their own ways
and often made comparisons of each others work. In Bible the sin happens when
a snake convinced eve to eat the fruit from the garden from which it was
forbidden to eat the fruit. The snake gave the argument that enlightenment would
be attained if one eats the fruit and thus was successful in persuading eve to
consume the fruit. This made god angry as he had particularly asked to not to
have fruit from the garden. This was considered as an act of sin in front of gods
eyes and thus the two were punished and they were barred from entering the
garden.
This act of sin has been explained by different philosophers. One of the most
prominent philosophers was Aristotle who explained it by his theory of causality.
His theory focused on the factors behind the cause. These are efficient cause,
material cause, final cause and formal cause. As humans were created by god, god
gave them the power and they were the most powerful creatures of all. They could
rule the land. But all god asked them was to not to eat the fruit. They ignored this
and consumed the fruit which angered god. And thus, they were punished for their
sin.

Pluto was a great philosopher who also tried to explain the origin of sin from the
Bible. He proposed the theory of forms to explain the origin of sin. He believed
the material world to only to be a copy of the real world and not the real world in
itself. Thus, according to him the origin of sin in Bible was only a story used to
explain the concept of sin. This theory can also be used to understand the origin or
the genesis in chapter 1.
As we continued to read further chapters of Bible, the sin can be understood in a
better way. This sin is a topic of debate among all. It raises questions on the
humanity. In this particular incidence of sin, when Adam and Eve were punished,
god not only punished Adam and Eve but the entire human beings. Even though
the sin was done by these two, but the wrath was faced by the entire human race.
It was a great dilemma and thus it remains one of the most discussed events of sin
even today.
