At a first glance the poem El Dorado may seem like a very simple pome with a

simple story of a knight trying to find a city of riches. However if you take a hard
look at this poem it really relates to our goals and how we go about them.

The poem "El dorado" is about goals and the adventure you have to go on to
achieve them. In the first stanza, the narrator talks about this knight who has who
has been traveling day and night to achieve his goal of finding the city of "El
dorado". This often happens when people first establish their goals. They are willing
to work day in and day out to reach their goals. In the second stanza, the knight has
become tired and weak. People often start to give up on their goals after a while. In
the third stanza, the knight is very tired. He finds a pilgrim and asks where "El
dorado" is. People often ask friends for help with completing a goal.
The theme can be taken out of the fourth stanza. The fourth stanza says
"Over
The Mountains / Of the Moon, / Down the Valley of the Shadow, / Ride, boldly
Ride," / the Shadow replied - / "If you seek for Eldorado!"
To go over the mountains of the moon and down the valley of the shadow are very
Challenging steps to get to El Dorado.
