Novena of Saint Cyprian and Saint Justina

Altar Set-up
Setting up a shrine to Saint Cyprian generally consists of an image
(such as the one in this document) or statue of the saint, candles, a
cup of water, and surrounding him with his colors.
With intent, dedicate a surface to Saint Cyprian, drape it with an
altar cloth, set up his image and before this image place a cup filled
with cool water.
Materials needed:
Purple Candle
Charcoal and Brazier
Frankincense (or Copal or Church incense)
Cup of water
Altar Consecration
Kneel before his shrine or altar and knock on the surface nine times
calling his name after each knock. Light the purple candle and set it
in front of his image and to the right. Set the cup of water to the
front and to the left of his image. Together they should form a
triangle if looked at from above.
In the center of this triangle and right before his image set your
charcoal and brazier. Light the charcoal disk from the flame of the
candle, set it back in the brazier, and sprinkle your Frankincense
onto the glowing charcoal.
As the smoke of the incense rises, pray sincerely to Saint Cyprian.
Ask that he accept your offerings and that he may be pleased with
them. Ask him to bless your altar and ask that he become a presence in
your life. Use your hand or a feather to fumigate the altar. Allow the
smoke to dance around your altar for a few moments before proceeding
with the following prayers.

Kontakion to St. Cyprian of Antioch

When thou, O godly-minded one, hadst been converted from the art of
sorcery to the knowledge of God, thou becamest a most skilful healer
for the whole world, O wise Cyprian, granting cures to them that
honour thee with Justina; with her, pray to the Master to save us, thy
servants who sing thy praise. Amen.
Invocation
Saint Cyprian of Antioch, you who were born to pagan parents and
dedicated to the god Apollo as a child, pray for us. You who conjured
lightning storms at Mount Olympos, who taught illusion in Argos,
witchcraft in Tauropolis, necromancy in Sparta, enchantment in
Memphis, and astrology in Chaldaea; yet found the greatest Power in
our Lord Jesus Christ; Saint Cyprian of Antioch, master of all the
occult arts, pray for us.
Glorious Bishop and Martyr Saint Cyprian with your faithful companion
Saint Justina, I beg you by your victory over death and by the Glory
that you enjoy in the company of all those who, like you, obtained the
crown of eternal life, free me from witchcraft and from enchantments
of the infernal dragon, from sudden death, from fires and earthquakes,
from evil neighbors, from dangerous paths, from robbers, from prisons,
from evil tongues, from false testimonies, and ultimately, I place
myself at your feet and cover myself with your cloak; free me from all
enemies visible and invisible; that, covered with the cloak of Saint
Justina who defeated all acts of black magic by her purity and the
sign of the cross, I may attain like unto that blessed Saint, so that
my soul may be purified and my good fortune secured. Amen.

Benediction
San Cipriano di Antiochia, I beseech you + that those who are bound by
maladictions, + sorcery, + and possessed of evil, + that you unbind
them, + that you unensorcel them, + so that the rabid wolf not have
dominion over them. + San Cipriano, I pray preserve me from all evil
intents, + arts, + and deeds; + guard my vision and my thoughts; + may
they be full of confusion those who attempt against my life, + may my
enemies be confused and driven away, + keep me triumphant of them
eternally. + Amen. [Make the sign of the cross at each +]
[Recite this benediction 9 times.]

Meditation
Now focus on the image of Cyprian and Justina before you. See it
becoming translucent and then dissolving into a Purple light which
enters through the top of your head and descends into your Heart. Feel
the the light resonate within your heart. Now imagine that your body
is struck by a Lightening Flash that instantly flashes back up into
the Heavens towards the Infinite Space from whence it came.
Enter the Silence and rest. Stay with this until you feel an inner
prompting that your session is complete.
[This Novena is to be performed for nine consecutive days.]
