The Sa vz. 58 Sporter COMPACT, introduced in 2011, has proven to be one of themore
popular models in the CSA vz. 58 line of firearms. The compact size with its intermediate
cartridge, and its impressive accuracy, has been the focus of military and law enforcement
and is currently being field tested by various countries.

Sa vz. 58 rifles are currently being used

internationally by armies and police forces
in approximately 20 countries.
All vz. 58 rifles possess amilled
receiver while the vast majority
of AK-47 type rifles utilize stamped
sheet metal receivers (the vz. 58
weighs approximately 1 pound less
than astamped receiver AK type
rifle). At the same time, AR-15 / M-16
type rifles are manufactured with
aluminium alloy receivers. Not only is
the vz. 58 receiver more rigid and/or
stronger than AK and AR-15 type rifle
receivers, but the vz. 58 is extremely lightweight and only weighs approximately 6.5
lbs (weight varies upon rifle model).

Bolt catch holds the bolt open after

the last round is fired. Theshooter
immediately knows the firearm is
empty and allows for quick reloading.
The bolt catch also allows for expedient
reloading using 7.62 x 39mm
ammunition stripper clips.

As with all vz. 58 models, theSavz.58 Sporter utilizes ashort stroke gas
piston. The vz. 58 Sporter provides greater reliability than the gas system
design utilized on AR-15 / M16 type rifles (gas piston can be removed or
exchanged without tools). Unlike the ejection port covers found on AR-15
/ M16 and AK-47 type rifles to prevent debris from entering the receiver,
the Sa vz. 58 has no need as the entire receiver is completely enclosed.

The Sa vz. 58 Sporter RIFLE is offered in three

calibres .222 Rem, .223Rem, and 7.62 x 39mm.
The rifles are available in barrel lengths ranging
from 390mm to 473mm. All rifles include
chrome lined barrels as chrome lining reduces
wear and increases the lifespan of the bore.
All barrels are chrome lined at the Czech Small
Arms factory using the latest chrome lining
technology and equipment.

The Sa vz. 61 Pistol in .22 LR retains the same feel, appearance, and
operation of the military issue vz. 61 in 7.65 mm Br. The .22 LR model
not only provides a completely adjustable front sight for windage and
elevation, it also utilizes the authentic rear flip sight. High strength
polycarbonate is used for all magazines which yields an incredible
resistance to wear and impact. Magazines are available in both 10round
and 20 round capacities and activate the bolt catch when the ast round
is fired. The Czech Small Arms .22 LR Sa vz. 61 Pistol remains true to the
original design there is no other .22 LR pistol like it!

The design of the vz. 61 was

unique for its time. Ituses

of the receiver (outside of
the pistol grip) and afolding stock. These common
features are combined with
the following unusual characteristics: extraordinary
small size and fires from
aclosed bolt. The 9mm
Br. vz. 61 takes this proven
design one step further
by making use of alarger
calibre.

The Sa vz.61 is the semi-automatic version of the legendary

Savz.61 designed in the late 1950s in Czechoslovakia.
TheSavz.61 was designed for reconnaissance units, tank crews,
special forces, and for security forces of the Ministry of Interior.
The Sa vz.61 was developed to fulfil aspecific need for acompact
firearm that could be worn like apistol in aholster and capable
of full-automatic fire. Even though the original calibre is generally
considered to be small by todays standards, the Sa vz. 61 is still
in use with military and law enforcement in nearly 20 countries
worldwide.

The Sa vz.61 in the 9mm P.A. Blank calibre was

developed by Czech Small Arms specifically for
gun collectors in countries that donot allow the
use of regular firearms or those where purchase of
blank firing weapons donot require agun licence.
TheSavz.61 Blank has a67mm long and 2mm
thick plate welded inside the barrel through two
crosswise pins, thus making it impossible to fire
any bullet-provided cartridge. Sa vz. 61 Blanks can
operate in full-automatic mode as well. The Sa vz.61
in the 9mm P.A. Rubber calibre, developed by Czech
Small Arms, is an ideal weapon for personal and
property protection incountries where handguns
in traditional calibres are not allowed. The 10 x 22T
calibre version is also available.

in calibres that have never been produced by any other small arms
manufacturer. The growing popularity of the vz.58 and vz.61 has led
to this expansion of new calibres. The vz.58 is now offered in 5.56
NATO and .222 Remington, while the vz. 61 pistol is available in 9mm
P. A. Blanc, 9mm P. A. Rubber, 9mm Browning and 9mm Makarov.
The22LR version will be available in summer 2015.
