Automotive / Consumer Products - Assemly & Sequencing Service Provider
VP of Operations & Engineering
Founded and operated a 3rd party logistics company delivering complete post-manufacturing solutions to Tier I
and Tier II companies, 70% automotive & 30% HVAC/Consumer Products. Established and manage 4 distinct
divisions, each with their own operating staff and P&L: Assembly/Sequencing, Returnable Container
Manufacturing, Engineering Consulting/ Implementation and a fully functional Transportation Company.
Direct daily operations, encompassing P&L, capital, personnel, business development, client relations and facility
management (7500 to 120,000 square feet). Assess client needs, from quotation to product delivery in a JIT
environment. Spearhead continuous process improvement and cost reduction. Control annual budgets exceeding
$100+MM, with an estimated $350M of customer-owned product on consignment.
Restructuring
Built company from the ground up and developed a brand name that became synonymous in the industry.
Achieved $14M in sales in first 4 years; exceeded 8% targeted growth for 9 consecutive years.

Negotiated 5-year contracts with union affiliations and built strong relationships with UAW, CAW, United
Rubber Workers and the Teamsters. Effectively represented company during arbitration with unions Cartage
Committees.
Implemented first network-based customer bank live inventory awareness system, raising uptime across 17
production lines 60% and reducing skip procedure 100%.
Spearheaded build of automated order picking system and integrated it with in-house developed manipulating
overhead picking system, reducing labor costs by 20%.

Achievements
Saved customers up to 5% on imported purchases by initiating a Foreign Trade Zone unit within company
facility, sanctioned by the US Government and abiding by US Homeland Security and Border Patrol Agency
regulations.
First ISO-certified, unionized automotive sequencing supplier plant of 13 new suppliers in the Shreveport, LA
area. First supplier to attain additional non-automotive work to offset fixed costs during transition periods or
new product launches.
Dramatically changed staff/client focus and lifted morale by introducing the WOW factor within the company
requiring all visitors to any company location to say WOW in response to the environment at least 3 times
before they talked to anyone. Program was so successful the WOW factor was extended to review/bonus
meetings and created a very positive atmosphere within the company.
