Preparation and Requirement

Gas Turbine
1. Cooling water system, lube oil system and auxiliary system are normal condition.
2. The maximum temperature between turbine wheels is required to be lower than 100C.
3. After gas turbine is shut down, the difference of the maximum temperature between
turbine wheels and the washing temperature should be less than 67C, and should be
recorded.
Valves Line Up
1. Physical check of the inlet air to ensure no large deposits on the bellmouth. Remove if
any.
2. Close AD-1, AD-2, AD-3 and AD-4 isolation valves.
3. Close the atomizing air system exhaust isolation valves
4. Close the shaft sealing and cooling exhaust AE-5 and AE-11 isolation valve.
5. Close the stage 13 exhaust isolation AE-13.
6. Open the air vent valve, CA1.
7. Open the compressor inlet pipe 20TW motor valve.
8. Open the drain valve at the bottom of the compressor.
9. Open the 6 units of drain valves under the turbine.
10. Open the drain valve of AD-3 to APU.
11. Open the water wash discharging valve at the bottom of exhaust compartment.
GT Compressor Wash Skid
1. Power supply of the water wash skid is energized.
2. Water tank of the water-wash module is min 2/3 and the liquid level of the detergent is
full with 6 pails of chemical detergent 20 Litre each.
3. Pre-heating of the Water tank in the GT Water Wash Skid to approximately 80C.
4. Feed detergent prepared proportionally in the detergent tank. The proportion of water and
detergent should be 1:4.
5. Open the main outlet valve at Water Wash Skid.
6. Demin water pump, 88TW, capacity is 50 m3/h and for the requirement water flow for
Offline water wash is only 9.5 m3/h. so, throttle the Demin pump outlet valve 20% to
achieve the required flow.
7. Open the Water Wash Primary, Secondary, and dosing valves.
8. Start the washing pump to totally discharge cold water in the pipeline between the waterwash module and the gas turbine.
Offline Compressor Water Wash Procedure

1. Manually start 88TK-1 and 88TK-2 fans. They should be started at an of interval at least
10s.
2. Selection of off-line water wash mode: enter WW-offline menu in AUX interface on the
control computer, select ON under OFF LINE WATER WASH.
3. Select the mode of Crank in the main menu (it is forbidden to select Fire or Auto), and
start the gas turbine as the normal start steps.
4. Make sure that Inlet Guide Vane, IGV, is at totally opened position of 86.
5. Make sure water temperature is within the regulated scope and the water inlet valve of
the gas compressor is opened.
6. Start the clean water pump to continuously spray to the gas compressor for 15 minutes,
and check the water outlet condition of each drain valve.
7. Start the detergent pump, 88DM, and the outlet valve throttle 100% to observe the water
drainage condition of each drain valve to ensure detergent enter the units.
8. Continue the detergent-water spraying for 5-9 minutes.
9. Shut down the gas turbine, always spray water to the unit during shutdown till
