What was the Civil Right Movement in the USA?

The civil rights movement was a political, legal and social struggle for African
Americans in the United States so that they could become citizens and get rights.
This movement was first and primary due to the racial segregation that separated
blacks from whites.
Did it succeed?
Before the civil right movement was implemented the African American had; for
example, sit in certain sections of theaters and buses. Restaurants could refuse to
serve blacks because of the color of their skin. Blacks also face many obstacles to
voting and often were essentially denied the right to vote. The promoters and the
most famous of the civil right movement were Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King.
They fought for African Americans, that they had exactly the same rights as whites
for the simple fact of being human. They faced the consequences of his actions
and continued to fight for their rights; they were tired of this violation of their rights.
The civil right movement succeeds and thanks to the actions of those characters,
people began to realize what they were doing. Before civil right movement, slavery
existed, so people thought it was okay to treat blacks like that, as they were
accustomed. I think that the fight for rights continues.
What was the purpose of the laws passed in the 1960s in the USA?
In 1960, USA design laws to integrate the entire citizen in the USA. One example
could be The Civil Rights Act of 1960. This law was a United States federal law that
established federal inspection of local voter registration polls and introduced
penalties for anyone who obstructed someone's attempt to register to vote. It was
designed to deal with discriminatory laws and practices in the segregated South,
by which blacks and Mexican Texans had been effectively disenfranchised since
the late 19th and start of the 20th century. It extended the life of the Civil Rights
Commission, previously limited to two years, to oversee registration and voting
practices.
