JOB DESCRIPTION MARKETING COMMUNICATION DIRECTOR


1. Planning, evaluating and coordinating activities in Marketing, Public relation and Promotions, in line with
group mission statement.
2. Responsible for branding development of new business unit within Management.
3. Conduct Customer Relation Management Program for all business unit in Management.
4. Develop and communicate a national public relations strategy for corporate and brands; execute
against it with measurable results
5. Develop long-range and annual product strategy and to assure actions are taken to achieve the target
(sales, market share)
6. Work closely with promotional partners, suppliers, advertising and Public Relation agencies on various
marketing or brand building initiatives
7. Execution of branding, advertising and promotional, public relation and event activities
8. Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction and analyzing the
potential profitability
9. Exploring new ways to communicate with customers
10. Overseeing the production of TV, newspaper and magazine advertising
11. Ensuring the designs and messages in marketing literature and campaigns meet the company brand
and regulatory guidelines
12. Optimized utilization and control usage of promotion budget

- Making strategy development and brand development for Client's social media handles using social media content
managements;
- Execute digital acquisition strategy and setup of all social media paid campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,
Linkedin and Pinterest);
- Monitoring social analytics to help develop strategy, share key findings to adjust programming;
- Maintaining social media content and trends (coordinating with social media officers);
- Supervise creation of digital content for social media from concept through to delivery;
- Creating social media promo content, including promoted contents (coordinating with sales and marketing)
- Research digital trends and maintain up-to-the-minute news and information on the constantly changing digital world;
- Working with all related divisions for digital content creation;
- Identify strategic partners, influencers and community, and other effective channels to work with;
- Manage design and create digital posters or pictures and infographic;
- Develop and manage content news and marketing or syndication across digital and social channels.

2Depending on the handset, URLs may or may not be clickable in an SMS or MMS
3Good practices:
o Charges incurred to the subscribers should always be stated up front on the teaser or the response SMS. eg: Data charges apply, reply @ no charge, RM2
etc.

o To include T&C apply when involves a contest or survey either on the teaser or the response SMS.
o To include the validity of the promotion or campaign period in the message.

o Always drive subscribers to a WAP site instead of a WEB site


o If the campaign involves driving users to a WEB site, always remove the www. from the URL link so that it is not clickable from the mobile phone as it is a
bad user experience to access the WEB site on their mobile phone.
o Conduct an AB testing to determine the best performing creative to maximize the campaign outcome.
