GENERALIDADES: Se denominan Miembros en Traccin Axial a los elementos de las


estructuras en los cuales se generan esfuerzos internos que evitan que se separen
los extremos cuando estn sometidos a una fuerza axial. Son los miembros ms
simples de disear porque no tienen problemas de estabilidad interna, como ocurre
con las columnas sometidas a compresin axial o a flexocompresin, o con las vigas
sometidas a flexin, que pueden pandear.
