Programme Overview
The business case for BIM is rapidly taking shape around the themes of productivity and profitability. Many
organisations and projects have now successfully implemented BIM with significant benefits including reduced
conflicts and changes, and reduced construction cost and duration. BIM is predicted to transform the whole project
process from inception, design, and construction through operations and facilities management. Both public and
large private developers are increasingly looking for their consultants to be BIM-enabled because of the value it
brings.
BIM Foundation is the first part of your journey to be BIM ready and make a transition to this new way of working.
The course will provide you with a strong foundation on building your skills in BIM by understanding the
terminology, technology, BIM principles, overview of BIM process, procedures, models, management and
collaboration.

What to Expect?
Lecture: interactive series of presentation supported by in-depth group discussions.
Case Study: allow you to apply the new theory and concepts in real-life context.

Learning Objectives
After this programme, you will be able to:

Explain what is BIM and its benefits in the organisations efficiency and productivity.

State BIM philosophy, tools, and process available.

Explain concepts of BIM implementation within an architectural, engineering, construction, and drafting office
environment.

Describe the importance of embedding building design data to produce effective model.

Explain continuous training implications related to BIM Implementation

Who Should Attend?

Architects , Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Builders and Contractors, Developers

Anyone who wants to know what BIM is all about, its capability and the required preparation for adoption
