REGULATION ORDINANCE NO. 2015-150
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2 (2), 3 AND 6 OF REGULATION
ORDINANCE NO. 2013-318 (TOWING ORDINANCE OF ILOILO CITY)
Sponsored by Councilor Plaridel C. Nava 0, duly seconded by
Councilors Jason R. Gonzales and Lyndon V. Acap

Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Iloilo, that:

Section 1. - Sections 2 (2), 3 and 6 of Regulation Ordinance No. 2013-318 or the Towing
Ordinance of Iloilo City, are hereby amended, to read as follows:
"Section 2. - Definition of Terms:

2. PARKING OR PARKED - shall mean that a motor vehicle is "parked" or
"parking" if it has been brought to a stop on the shoulder, proper edge or sidewalk, of a
highway, x x x."

Section 3. - It is prohibited for any reason to park, repair or caused to be

repairt:d, or to abandon any motor vt:hicle or trailer damaged in an accident, or cannot
move on its power on any portion of a public street, road or highway including its
sidewalk, with territorial jurisdiction of the City ot' lloilo which such vehicles poses
hazard or obstruction to the traffic and or pedestrian."
"Section 6., - Any motor vehicle/trailer parked on a non parking zone roads or
streets including its sidewalk, being abandon or repaired or cause to be repaired or
abandoned as prescnbed in Section 1 herein shall be towed by towing contractor, and
placed in a storage provided by the entity/corporation which has a joint venture
agreement, with the Iloilo City Government or to a place chosen by the owner or person
legally responsible for the motor vehicle."
Section 2. - This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
