SLIDE STOP.
W i t h t h e Bcf p i s t o l , once the last cartridge has been f i r e d , the
remains open, t h u s i m m e d i a t e l y drawing the user's a t t e n t i o n that he
re-load.
This is a valuable characteristic w h e n one is f i r i n g to defend
life, w i t h o u t counting the shots f i r e d , and that an e m p t y shot could
tragic consequences.

SAFETIES.
The UNIQUE p i s t o l , besides the safe use brought about by the visible
hammer, possesses 3 extra s a f e t i e s , t w o of w h i c h are entirely automatic
acting w i t h o u t the knowledge o f the shooter.
1 The f i r s t , called safety t h r o u g h t h e magazine consists of a
special device automatically putting t h e f i r e a r m at - s a f e - by the f a c t of
removing the magazine. A l l t h e f i r i n g mechanism is blocked and an
involuntary pressure of the t r i g g e r presents no danger. This type of safety,
required on all m i l i t a r y pistols, has established itself as the
most
e f f e c t i v e in the use of automatic f i r e a r m s , because it too often happens
that the shooter believes his f i r e a r m harmless once the magazine has
been removed and, handling it w i t h o u t suspicion, causes an accident.
2" The optional safety placed in the l e f t side of the f i r e a r m can
easily be operated by t h e t h u m b . Of a sure f u n c t i o n i n g , it instantaneously
makes t h e f i r e a m harmless. Two d o t s : red and w h i t e , international in(iicat i o n s , mark the positions w i t h o u t ambiguity. In the f i r i n g p o s i t i o n : the
safety lever is on the w h i t e dot (the red dot being v i s i b l e ) . In the safe
p o s i t i o n : the safety lever is on the red dot (the w h i t e dot being v i s i b l e } .
3 if, for some reason or another, the slide is not correctly
closed against the f r o n t a l w a l l of the barrel, f i r i n g is impossible (see
f i g . E ) . This provision eleminates the danger presented by the premature
f i r i n g of a cartridge w h i c h has not c o m p l e t e l y entered the chamber.
4" The hammer has been so designed t h a t f i r i n g is impossible
w i t h o u t the voluntary action of the shooter on t h e trigger. If, o w i n g
to a d e f e c t i v e engaging, a blow or any other reason, the cog of the
hammer
should accideifitally part f r o m t h e sear, the
latter
would
automatically engage the second cog of the hammer, known as the
safety cog. M o r e o v e r t h i s cog d e t e r m i n e s the rest position of the
hammer for the carrying of the f i r e a r m w i t h a cartridge in the barrel.
