CLOUD COMPUTATIONS:

In computing, a server is a computer program or a device that provides

functionality for other programs or devices, called "clients".
This architecture is called the clientserver model, and a single overall
computation is distributed across multiple processes or devices. Servers can
provide various functionalities, often called "services", such as sharing data or
resources among multiple clients, or performing computation for a client.
A single server can serve multiple clients, and a single client can use multiple
servers. A client process may run on the same device or may connect over a
network to a server on a different device.[1] Typical servers are database
servers, file servers, mail servers, print servers, web servers, game servers, and
application servers.[2]
OR
THE PRACTICE OF USING A NETWORK OF REMOTE SERVERS HOSTED ON
THE INTERNET TO STORE, MANAGE, AND PROCESS DATA, RATHER THAN A
LOCAL SERVER OR A PERSONAL COMPUTER.
SERVER: In a technical sense, a server is an instance of a computer program
that accepts and responds to requests made by another program, known as a
client. Less formally, any device that runs server software could be considered
a server as well. Servers are used to manage network resources.
Type of servers: Typical servers are database servers, file servers, mail servers,
print servers, web servers, game servers, and application servers.
STORAGE:
A storage device may hold information, process information, or both. A device
that only holds information is a recording medium. Devices that process
information (data storage equipment) may either access a separate portable
(removable) recording medium or a permanent component to store or retrieve
data.
COMPUTER CLUSTERS:
A computer cluster consists of a set of loosely or tightly connected computers
that work together so that, in many respects, they can be viewed as a single
system. Unlike grid computers, computer clusters have each node set to
perform the same task, controlled and scheduled by software. The components

of a cluster are usually connected to each other through fast local area
networks ("LAN"),
It runs same operating system and same hardware

KVM- Kernel-based Virtual Machine

VIRTUAL MACHINE

a virtual machine (VM) is an emulation of a

computer system. Virtual machines are based on computer architectures

and provide the functionality of a physical computer. Their
implementations may involve specialized hardware, software, or a
combination
A hypervisor or virtual machine monitor (VMM) is a piece of computer
software, firmware or hardware that creates and runs virtual machines.
HYPERVISOR
Hypervisor or virtual machine monitor (VMM) is a piece of computer software,
firmware or hardware that creates and runs virtual machines. A computer on
which a hypervisor runs one or more virtual machines is called a host
machine, and each virtual machine is called a guest machine. The hypervisor
presents the guest operating systems with a virtual operating platform and
manages the execution of the guest operating systems. Multiple instances of a
variety of operating systems may share the virtualized hardware resources:
Oracle cloud also helps to run platform on VM like VMware or KVM based on
the requirements with any migration issues
