Answer
: I am PaisalBinasing y Salindiman, 31 years old, married, Filipino,
and with residence c/o WPSBP, Department of Justice, Padre Faura Street,
Ermita, Manila, Philippines.

: Why are you here in the Office of Prosecutor, Hall of Justice?
Answer
: To attest the veracity of the foregoing facts to the best of my
knowledge and belief regarding personal data and brief background of fugitive
Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) member Basal TaibSali.

:Will you tell this investigator how would you know the personal
data pertaining to Basal TaibSali?
Answer
: First and foremost I know very well the data and background of
Basal TaibSali, he is a son of HadjiLalih Ali Sali and JabbongSali, he is a resident
of Barangay Canibungan, Lantawan, Basilan. He finished his elementary level at
Canibungan Elementary School and his High School level at Basilan National
High School.

: During his early life until he became a young adult, he always
accompanied to his father HadjiLalihAlihSali who serve as company guard of
Golden Harvest Plantation in Barangay Tairan, Lantawan, Basilan.

: How do you him well?
Answer
: Becausemy father andBasal TaibSali were 2 nd second degree of
consanguinity, our family are very close to each other and I called him as uncle.
Basal TaibSali and his family were always visited in our house especially during
fiesta and other occasions in our barangay.

: Do you have other information of Basal TaibSali involvement in
the Abu Sayyaf Group?
Answer
: Yes Sir.

: What isthatinformation?
Answer
: On 11 June 2001 at around 9:00 oclock in the morning while I am
in our backyard, I was surprised when the undetermined number of armed Abu
Sayyaf Group (ASG) members were suddenly attack our place at Golden
Harvest Plantation, Barangay Tairan, Lantawan, Basilan and forcibly abducted
me which include fourteen (14) others, then the group told us to accompany with
them and we moved towards Barangay Canibungan of same municipality.
During the incident I saw Basal TaibSaliis armed with M16 rifle
togetherwith his brother OmairTaibSaliis also armed with M16 rifle who were
served as the guide of the group when they entered in our place wherein they are
familiar to the terrain specifically our place.

All kidnapped victims together with the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) were
stayed at Barangay Canibungan for almost three (3) days then we transferred to
Barangay Makiri, Isabela City of same province to hide thereat and to elude the
pursuing government forces and we stayed thereat for almost one (1) month.
Then, the ASG brought all kidnap victims at Barangay Gueong, Sumisip,
of same province and stayed thereat for almost three (3) days after which they
encountered the government forces which resulted to the death of Imam Hapilon,
the father of ASG leader IsnilonHapilon.

: During a long period while you are in the hands of ASG did you
noticed the presence and participation of Basal TaibSali with the activity of ASG?
Answer
: Yes Sir, because he is one (1) of the active member of ASG and
sometimes he and his brother OmairTaibSali were task to seek their food
supplies in the area where the group stays.

:Is there other information about Basal TaibSali?
Answer
: Yes Sir. After the encounter in Sumisip area, all kidnap victims
togetherwith undetermined number of ASG and among them were Basal TaibSali
and his brother OmairTaibSali were transferred to mountainous area of Barangay
Kumalarang, Isabela City, Basilan.

: Is that Basal TaibSali was in the group while you are in
Kumalarang area?

: Yes Sir. As my observation he will not leave in the group even we
transfer from one place to another.

: Sir, when we were in Barangay Matikang, Lantawan, Basilan last
October 10, 2001 when the ASG encountered the government troops, I seek the
opportunity to escape from the hands of ASG while they were engage against
military troopers.

Riyad, Saudi Arabia.

: I heard from his comrades while I am the custody of the Abu
