INTRODUCTION

ATRO BALI which is established by Pendidikan Usadha Teknik Bali Foundation,

constituting high educational institution in the health sector carrying out Diploma Study
Program III Technique of Radiodiagnostics and Radiotherapy based on SK
MENDIKNAS RI NO.:204/D/O/2008 on September 22nd 2008. In improving the
quality of education and the quality of graduates of technique study program of
radiodiagnostics and radiotherapy (ATRO BALI), in commemorating the 8th
anniversary of ATRO BALI, the institution (Pendidikan Usadha Teknik Bali
Foundation) scheduled the program ATRO BALI Goes to International Institution,
such as by doing and developing high educational cooperation with the institutions
which organized study program of technique of Radiodiagnostics and Radiotherapy or
Radiography in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippine, Japan, India and Australia
and carrying out radiology workshop activity in international scale.
This activity program considers that Indonesia is a part of AEC (ASEAN Economic
Community) which has been commenced from 2015 and it must be ready to face global
competition, especially in radiology sector.
One of the labors which provides service and it is agreed to be able to compete in
AEC is the profession of health labor. On that account, the readiness of health labor,
particularly radiographer in improving global competitiveness must be supported with
the ability of mastering sophisticated Diagnostic Imaging Modalities, like CT
(Computed Tomography) Scanning and MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging).

Based on the basis health research result in 2013, it is known that 57, 9 percent
cases of stroke in Indonesia have been diagnosed by health labors. The data from World
Health Organization (WHO) cardiovascular disease poses the primary death cause in
the world. On that account, optimal diagnosing for cardiovascular and blood vessel
diseases is very important to do. Diagnostic Imaging Modalities which are used to
diagnose pathology happened in blood vessel and cardiovascular are CT Scan and MRI.
According to Achala Vagal, 2016 the examination of Imaging Computed
Tomography Scanning Angiography complements each other with MRA. Workshop
activity realization of CT Scan and MRI Imaging Modalities and their role in
Angiography examination is supported by PARI profession organization (Perhimpunan
Radiografer Indonesia) as a profession organization which shaded the graduates of
health labor vocation of radiodiagnostics and radiotherapy technique. The International
Radiology Workshop activity will be held in Denpasar.
