Tasks
Display board or commonly known as bulletin board is one of the most readily
available and versatile learning resource. To reach your goal, do the following:
Look around the school for a bulletin board;
Choose one then describe and evaluate the display, and;
Propose enhancement to the display to make it more effective.

An Observation Guide for BOARD DISPLAYS
Go around the school and examine the board displays. How many board displays do
you see?
Where are the display boards found? Are they in places where target viewers can
see them?
What are the displays about? What images and colors do you see? How are the
pieces of information arranged?
What materials were used in making the displays? Are borders used?
Do you notice some errors? (misspelled words, grammar inconsistencies, etc.)
Are the messages clear and easily understood?
Take some photos of the display board. (if allowed)
As you look around and examine board displays, use the activity form provided to
document your observations.
Take note of the following details and write them in your observation report.
BB1: the immages are too small but it is visible when I look at it nearly and the colors used in the
bulletin board are most in yellow and green but it also have corresponding colors like
white,orange,red,blue and violet that is attractive when you look on it.
BB2: very colorful colors with a little bit dark with the background that stands as effect and the images
are good and it contains rainbow colors.
BB3: the background color is brown with a simple design of immages that stands for simplicity.
c. arrangement of information/messages
BB1: they are collaged by their respective event and they are not hard to analyze by the students.
BB2: it starts from games, then organizations and achievements and then lastly the activities.
BB3: the arrangement of the information given in this bulletin board is from broad idea to different
parts.
