ay Tree Publishing combines the efforts of the husband and
wife publishing team, David and Mary Lee Cole. We began
working in publishing in the 1970s, Mary Lee as an editor and
David as production manager in a small Northern California start-up.
In the years since, Mary Lee has combined a career in educational
program development, teaching, and coaching writers (she has a Ph.D.
in education). David has divided his time between publishing, writ-
ing, and marketing, cultivating experience in every aspect of the
book publishing business. We are authors as well as publishers, so
we understand the concerns and expectations that writers bring to
the publishing experience. Above all, we have a passion for books,
language, the written word, and the process of communication that
bridges author and reader.
To meet the challenges of 21st century publishing, we offer a full
line of publishing services, including co-publishing, writer coaching,
e-books, and online access. We look forward to discussing these
options with you.

Invisible Energy
Strategies to Rescue the Economy
and Save the Planet
David B. Goldstein
Foreword by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Upending most conventional ideas about
energy use and the economy, Invisible
Energy shows how expanded efforts toward
efficiency—supported by new technolo-
gies and governmental regulations—can
drastically reduce greenhouse emissions.
Arguing that the economy has been hob-
bled for last 35 years by negative climate
and energy policies, this book shows how
improved efficiencies will promote greater
economic growth, not less, providing sig-
nificant economic benefits both to con-
sumers and a wide range of businesses.
Review
Dr. Goldstein's book is a must read for all who care about climate change and
want to understand what changes must be made in our energy policy to deal with
global warming while maintaining a growing U.S. and worldwide economy.
—Dian Grueneich, Commissioner, California Public Utilities Commission

Guest House
A Novel by Barbara K. Richardson
Review
“The people living in Guest House are as particular and real—and flawed—as
our neighbors, our friends, ourselves. In this remarkably generous novel Bar-
bara Richardson chronicles not only the betrayals and sorrows of the human
heart, but the love and hope and caring that heals it.”
— Molly Gloss, author of The Hearts of Horses
Review
Raphael Aron challenges our ideas about the role of mind control and the part

Terrorism at Macquarie University, Australia

“David Goldstein provides us with a compelling combination of facts and analysis
that all point to one truth: environment and business have never been more com-
patible. Saving Energy, Growing Jobs is a must-read regardless where you reside on
the political spectrum.”
—Senator Dianne Feinstein
Review
“… a deeply humane and wise meditation on the factors that either contribute
toward or impede healing. Like the after work glass of sherry, this book should be
sipped not gulped.”

Cult Thinking and the Terrorist Threat

Kristen Skedgell
Review
“How is it that a woman determined to be good—virtuous—can make such an unholy
mess of her life? In pursuit of grace, Kristen Skedgell gave herself to one devil after
another. She lost her way in life, but not on the page, and her account of finding
her way back home, back to the self she denied and betrayed, has something to
teach all of us.”

Foreword by the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson
While affirmative action policies have lost support in recent years,
they continue to play a vital role in creating equal educational
opportunities for minority students. This book explains the criti-
cal role of affirmative action in establishing fairer, more diverse
institutions and explains the guidelines that will govern affirma-
tive action policies in education in the immediate future.
