- Transition from 1st year to 2nd year of enrollment in a Bachelor program or the Integrated Master of Arts
in Law
- Transition to subsequent years only in the case of students with disabilities equal to or greater than 66%
Renewal is not subject to merit evaluations but only in regards to Regulations and the submitting of an

Please note that renewal of housing for students who are currently residents and who meet the above

submitting the only application by the deadline indicated.
Submitting a renewal application entails automatic acceptance of accommodation for AY 2016-2017.
Students may only withdraw from the accommodation based on the indications set out in Article 1.3.
Current full rate residents who are interested in submitting an application for the 2016-2017 academic year for
reduced rate housing are not eligible for the renewal of their current housing, but must submit a new admission
application for reduced rate housing, and any assignment will be subject to the priority given to first year new
admission applicants.
Applications may only be submitted online by accessing the website www.unibocconi.eu/housingdesk, during the
following period:

further confirmations online, but, following publication of results,
must access the online form to print the check-in documents on the
website www.unibocconi.eu/housingdesk.
Students who have submitted a renewal application for AY 2016-2017 may submit only a new admission

10
Students enrolled with the status "in corso" and prospective students in a degree program or a PhD program for
the AY 2016-2017 at Bocconi University can participate in the application.
PhD students who have been explicitly authorized by the PhD School to complete their studies within the 20162017 academic year, having completed the legal duration of their study program during the 2015-2016 academic
year, may submit a reduced rate housing renewal application. However, the 4th ISU bracket will be applied in
these cases, even if during the legal duration of their study program the reduced rate in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd ISU
bracket was applied.
The following students will be excluded from the 2016-2017 reduced rate housing rankings:
- students who have previously earned a degree equivalent to or of a higher level to the program for which
they are enrolling in Bocconi for the 2016-2017 academic year, in Italy or abroad (including titles released
prior to the D.M. 509/1999).
- students who were previously enrolled in a degree program equivalent to or of a higher level to the

degree of a level higher than a Bachelor.
- fuori corso students for the first time in the first year fuori corso after the regular Bachelor,

- students who renew enrollment after having previously withdrawn from studies.

considered for application, however, the number of required credits necessary to be considered for the
rankings will be calculated based on the number of credits foreseen for each academic year past from the

The initial assignment of housing and the related housing fee are established based on the information provided
by the student when filling out the online application. However, in order to provide final confirmation of the
housing assignment at the applied rate, documentation certifying the applicants financial conditions must be
submitted.
Applications for reduced rate housing will be considered submitted only if the student provides all required
documentation in accordance with the procedures and within the deadlines stated in these regulations.
The specific regulations and documentation needed in order to properly submit an application can be found in the
relevant attachments (Attachments I-J) in these regulations.
The printed and signed application for the online housing procedure, along with all the listed documentation (see
Attachment J), must be sent to the Bocconi University Housing Center/Student Services Office by and no later
than 26 September 2016, the final deadline. Failure to comply with this deadline will result in applicants
ineligibility for housing.
Required documentation must be sent by registered mail (the date of the postmark will be considered the date of
submission) to the following address:
Student Services Office ISU Bocconi/Housing Center
Bocconi University
Piazza Sraffa 11, 20136 Milano.
The required documentation can also be delivered in a sealed envelope, with sender and addressee indicated on
the outside of the envelope, to the Bocconi University One Stop Service Centers Welcome Desk - Piazza Sraffa,
13 - 20136 Milano.
If complete documentation is not submitted by the final deadline or if the documentation submitted is irregular,
the applicant will be considered ineligible for housing.
Reduced rate housing and assignment of the applicants housing fee is determined based on the economic
conditions of the applicants family, evaluated in light of the information provided when filling out the online
application and when subsequently submitting documentation in accordance with these regulations.
Please note that the ISU bracket assigned during the first phase on the basis of the online statement could
undergo variations following subsequent verifications of the documentation submitted. Any variation will be
communicated during the month of January and will be applied, also with backdated values, for the entire period
of housing assignment for the 2016-2017 academic year.
13
If the 4th ISU bracket is assigned to the applicant due to checks, the student will be required to pay the equivalent
of twice the amount due for the assignment made undeservedly and reported to the Bocconi University
Disciplinary Committee.
In particular, starting from the academic year 2012-2013, the final ISU bracket assignment and therefore the
housing fee for non-EU students are subject to specific regulations reported in Attachment I.
The students economic conditions are identified based on the financial condition indicator (I.S.E.E.), I.S.E.E.
calculated as per Attachment I.
Please note that eligibility for the reduced rate Housing is determined both by I.S.E.E. income parameters as well
as by I.S.P.E. assets parameters, while students ISU bracket and related rate are determined exclusively based on
I.S.E.E. income parameters, conditional to the assets parameter being respected.
Art. 3.7 Verification of Financial Status and Validation of Economic Information Provided
(Italian Presidential Decree 445/2000, article 71)
For the purposes of ascertaining an applicants financial status, ISU Bocconi will avail itself of the means provided
for by law, in particular article 22 of Italian Law 390 of 2 December 1991, and article 71 of Italian Presidential
Decree 445 of 28 December 2000, and will request supporting documentation attesting to the veracity of the
declaration (Form 730, Consolidated Form, VAT declaration, etc.).
By agreement with the Lombardy Region Revenue Office, Ministry of Finance, the accuracy of the self-certification
provided by students who are deemed eligible for financial services or provision of services through open
competition will be checked, pursuant to current laws and in particular article 71 of Italian Presidential Decree
445/2000.
Furthermore, information regarding ISU beneficiaries will be sent to the National Institute of Social Security and to
the Department of Labor and Social Policy according to Govt. Decree no. 78 of 31 May 2010.
If an applicants declaration is false, sanctions will be applied pursuant to articles 75 and 76 of Italian Presidential
Decree 445/2000 in addition to the sanctions foreseen by Art. 10 contained in Italian Law 68/2012 and in particular:
1. In the delay of implementation of regulations referred to in article 38, paragraph 2, of the Italian Law-Decree
n. 78 of 31 May 2010, converted, with changes from Italian Law n. 122 of 30 July 2010, organizations referred
to in article 3, paragraph 1, check the veracity of the family situation declared by the student by comparing
the income and asset information declared by recipients of actions with the information in possession of the
Internal Revenue Service IT system. For that end, universities, higher education artistic, musical and dance
institutions and service provider organizations are given the power to directly access the Interexchange Tax
Registry System of Local Organizations (SIATEL) at the Internal Revenue Service, upon stipulation of the
appropriate agreement.
2. Service provider organizations send the lists of recipients of the same Financial Administration and can
request them to carry out physical verifications and checks. The members of the family household of
students benefiting from services are included in the categories that they are subject to, pursuant to
applicable regulations, with maximum controls.
3. Without finding themselves in the conditions established by the state and regional regulations, anyone who
submits false declarations, either regarding themselves or members of their family household, in order to
make use of related actions, is subject to a considerable administrative sanction in the payment of an
amount three times the amount collected, or the value of the services unduly utilized, and loses the right to
obtain other grants for the duration of the study program, without prejudice to in any case the application
of sanctions referred to in article 38, paragraph 3 of the Italian Law-Decree n. 78 of 31 May 2010, converted,
with changes from Italian Law n. 122 of 30 July 2010, as well as criminal laws for the actions making up the
crime.
14
Pursuant to article 2947 of the Italian Civil Code, checks will be carried out within 5 years starting from the last
undue use and resulting from self-certification that was revealed to be false.
Bocconi University reserves the right to implement disciplinary sanctions and, if details regarding a crime are
recognized (article 331 of Italian CPP), report it to legal authorities.
The renewal of a reduced rate housing assignment for non-first year students for the AY 2016-2017, is guaranteed
to students as long as:
- they have been reduced rate residents for a minimum period of 3 consecutive months as of 24 July 2016;
- they properly submit a renewal application online by 3:00pm on 19 July 2016.
Please note that non-first year students must meet the merit requirements summarized in the table below at 10
August 2016.
Merit requirements will be checked during the month of December 2016 with reference to 10 August 2016 and
anyone who has not reached the minimum credits will be placed in the 4th bracket for the entire period of
assignment.
Students who are certain they have not reached the minimum credits after the deadline for submitting an
application should communicate their intention to stay in housing and pay the fee for the 4th bracket or
immediately withdraw from the housing assignment without paying the annual fee. This must be communicated
to the email address housing.center@unibocconi.it by 23 August 2016.
Completing the online information required to submit an application entails that the housing assignment will
be automatically accepted for the AY 2016-2017, if eligible. Students may withdraw from housing only as stated
in article 1.3.
Non-first year students submitting a new admission reduced rate application by 3:00pm on 19 July will also be
required to meet the same merit requirements for students submitting a renewal housing application by 10
August 2016.
In order to meet the minimum merit requirements, all non-first year students may use a "bonus" in addition to
their credits as follows:
- if the student has never used the bonus, he/she will be able to request bonus credits as detailed in the
table below. Requesting bonus credits will suspend the right to mature additional bonus credits;
- if the student has already requested to use bonus credits in a previous year, he/she can make use of any
residual credits not used in the previous years.
Students enrolled in a Master of Science program are allowed to use the bonus earned and not used during their
Bachelor Degree. The bonus corresponds to 15 credits if the student has never used it during the Bachelor Degree.
Students who graduated from another Italian university need to present, together with the documents required, a
self-certification in which they state the number of bonus points they earned and did not use. The selfcertification form is available online from www.unibocconi.eu/housingdesk.

The following reserves outlined below are also provided for:
PhD Reserve: Limited only to reduced rate housing for new admission applicants, there will be a reserve on 4
housing placements exclusively for students enrolled in PhD programs:
-
If these students apply for housing and are eligible according to these regulations, they may compete only for a
housing placement foreseen by this reserve.
Reserve for applicants with incomes yielded mainly outside Italy: Limited only to reduced rate housing for new
admission applicants, a reserve has been made for students of any nationality whose income is produced
primarily outside of Italy. Reduced rate housing applicants whose family produces the majority of its income in a
country other than Italy and who are considered eligible for reduced rate housing in accordance with these
Housing Application Requirements and Regulations will compete for this reserve. The reserve will be equivalent to
20% of the reduced rate housing made available due to the non-renewal of housing assignments by reduced rate
housing residents during the previous year.
16
If these students apply for housing and are eligible according to these regulations, they may compete only for a
housing placement foreseen by this reserve.
If there are still rooms available, an email will be sent to all ranked students who have not be assigned housing as
of 30 September 2016, to which students still interested in a housing assignment for AY 2016-2017 must respond.
Students must answer this email within 3 business days.
Results will be published in the results section of the website www.unibocconi.eu/housingdesk, as follows:
New Admission:
- First-year students who are not yet residents: 22 July 2016
- Non first-year students: 25 August 2016
The provisional outcome for new admission applicants refers to the eligibility of being assigned housing and not
to the actual housing assignment itself, which will depend on the availability of housing.
Renewal:
- Provisional results to access housing: 22 July 2016
- Results with merit checks: December 2016
Any appeals opposing the provisional rankings or petitions for revision due to errors made by the applicant may
only be submitted through the online form at: www.unibocconi.eu/housingdesk, and must be submitted no later
than:
-
3:00pm on 6 August 2016 for new admissions for non-resident first-year students;
3:00pm on 5 August 2016 for renewals and new admission of non-first year students applicants.
Art. 3.13 Housing Assignments and Acceptance for New Admission Applicants
Housing assignments for new admission applicants will be made in rounds based on rankings and housing
availability. Please note that the number of rooms available will depend on the number of room assignments
renewed by residents of AY 2015-2016. Students who have submitted an application are required to check their
email account to check if they have received a housing assignment and, if so, accept the room assignment on the
following dates:
-
Placements will be assigned based on housing availability at the time of the assignment. The assignment cannot
be modified, even if further housing options become available at a later time.
Acceptance of housing, which is finalized with the payment of the 500 housing deposit, must be made within 3
business days from the sending date of the reservation email, according to the procedures outlined in the email.
Failure to accept the assignment and make the deposit payment by the specified deadline, will result in the
student losing the housing assignment and the room will be assigned to the next eligible applicant in the ranking.
Please note that, for cancelations after accepting the housing assignment, the security deposit will be withheld.
Only during the period between 23 August and 25 August 2016, new housing recipients will be able to view their
room without checking in if the accommodation does not meet their expectations. In that case, to formalize the
17
rejection and withdraw from the assignment, an email must be sent to the Housing Center at the address
housing.center@unibocconi.it by 11:59pm on the day the room was viewed. The security deposit will not be
returned.
If the cancelation is communicated after 25 August 2016, the student may withdraw only during the subsequent
time windows and make the related payments (see Art. 1.3).
At the time of acceptance, all housing recipients will be required to indicate the date in which they intend to
participate in one of the orientation meetings on life at Bocconi Residence Halls, which will be held during early
September, during Welcome Days.
Because renewal applications are equivalent to acceptance of housing for AY 2016-2017, students are not
required to make further confirmations online, but they must access the online form to print documents on the
website www.unibocconi.eu/housingdesk following the publication of results.
Students assigned housing as a reduced rate for AY 2016-2017 will have the right to request a renewal for the
following academic year if they meet the requirements set out in the regulations for AY 2017-2018.
Please note that for reduced rate housing, the bracket assigned at the time of the first admission into a residence
hall will not be automatically maintained for subsequent years. Housing service rates will in fact be recalculated
each year based on new financial and asset documentation submitted.

For all student applicants whose family household held assets at 31 December 2015 or produced income in 2015 in
countries outside the European Union, please note that, pursuant to Italian D.G.R. 2013 of Italian D.lgs 286/98, of
Italian D.P.R. n. 394 of 31 August 1999, declarations that attest an annual income less than 5,830.76 will not be
considered valid for the purposes of ISU Bocconi eligibility, as it is incompatible with immigration regulations.
The evaluation of the students financial conditions is based on parameters from the ISEE Certificate applicable to
assisted services for the Right to University Study and other elements derived from the documentation submitted to
ISU Bocconi for the AY 2016-2017 or gathered during other checks completed by the Office, both during the period
following publication of the provisional ranking during the year, and after publication of the final ranking. Further
documentation may be requested that better certifies the actual financial conditions of the applicant.
After ISU Bocconi eligibility has been verified according to these criteria, an ISU Bocconi bracket will be assigned based
exclusively on the ISEE parameters, if correct.
H.2 ISEE Certification and Self-Certificate (DSU Dichiarazione Sostitutiva Unica)
For the purposes of requesting services for the right to higher education, a ISEE Certificate with the statement si
applica alle prestazioni agevolate per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario in the name of the student applicant (with
Italian Fiscal Code indicated) and related DSU Self-Certification in its extended version (not the MINI version), issued in
2016 according to current legislation, must be obtained. This must be completed in due time according to the
deadlines set for submitting related documentation.
The DSU Self-Certification is a document that contains information regarding personal data, income and assets
needed to describe the financial situation of the family household in order to request social services. The DSU is
required in order to provide information to calculate the ISEE (Index of the Equivalent Financial Situation).
The ISEE is an indicator that evaluates the familys financial situation and considers the income of all members, their
assets (valued at 20%) and an equivalency scale based on the number of members in the family household and their
characteristics.
ISEE Certificates issued before 1 January 2016 will not be considered valid for the purposes of these Regulations and
Application.
For complete information regarding the ISEE applicable to assisted services for the Right to University Study and DSU,
please refer to www.inps.it.
H.2.1 How to obtain documentation
Applicants for social services can submit their DSU electronically directly to INPS, by accessing the website
www.inps.it. The ISEE portal will be available in the Online services Citizen Services section of the website, which
can be accessed by using the system PIN issued by INPS. Methods for issuing the PIN are described in the Online PIN
section of the INPS website.
Applicants can submit a DSU to the City Administration or a Fiscal Assistance Center (CAF) or the INPS branch active in
the area.
At the time of submission, a DSU only contains self-declared information. After submitting a DSU, the certifier will
receive a receipt of the submission from the organization receiving the document (INPS, City Administration, CAF or
issuing organization) but not the calculated ISEE. To calculate the ISEE, other information must be provided by INPS
and the income revenue agency, according to the methods and timelines for which the University is not responsible.
35
It is therefore the responsibility of the interested party to obtain the ISEE applicable to assisted services for the Right
to University Study and the required documents/information in a timely manner and meet the deadlines set for
submitting information online for the submission of the applications(s) set out in these Regulations and Application.
H.3 Regulatory references
Article 5 of Italian Legislative Decree n. 201 of 6 December 2011, converted with changes by Italian Law n. 214 of 22
December 2011 provided for a revision of the methods for determining the Index of the Equivalent Financial Situation
(ISEE) and its areas of application.
The Italian Decree by the President of the Council of Ministers n. 159 of 5 December 2013 for the implementation of
the aforementioned Article 5 greatly reformed the regulation previously in force (Italian Legislative Decree n. 109 of
31 March 1998 and Italian Decree by the President of the Council of Ministers n. 221 of 7 May 1999) which was
revoked 30 days after the date the coming into force of the Italian Interministerial Decree of 7 November approving
the new DSU model, related instructions and the certification. Therefore, as the Italian Decree was published in the
Italian Official Journal (G.U.) n. 267 of 17/11/2014 (S.O. n. 87), the new regulations will be in force starting on 1
January 2015.
H.4 Calculating the I.S.E.E. and I.S.P.E.
The financial situation of the family household is calculated by considering the income of all family members, their
assets (valued at 20%) and, through an equivalency scale, the composition of the family household (number of
members and their characteristics).
ISEE = (sum of income net of exemptions) + 20%* (sum of assets net of exemptions)
____________________________________________________________________________
Parameter of equivalency scale
The equivalency scale indicates a parameter that increases with increases in the number of members of the family
household. The parameter is higher if there are several characteristics of the family household that take on
importance in this context: presence of more than two dependent children in the family household; working parents
and minor children, in particular if younger than three years; one-parent households.
Please remember that for the item income exempt from taxes in the DSU Self-Certification, income collected must
also be included that, based on current legislation, is not part of total IRPEF income, nor subject to other kinds of
taxation in Italy, such as, for example, scholarship amounts.
ISU Bocconi excludes scholarship amounts collected from the ISEE value for the right to study, compared to the
corresponding parameter of equivalency scale.
Base on the year of reference that must be documented, when students use the CAF or other organization appointed
to issue an ISEE Certificate, they must certify the amounts collected from scholarships, as follows:
- with reference to what was paid out through 2014 showing the bank statement from where amounts were
claimed, the dates and reason for payment of the bank transfer received. If this is not included for the
registrant, the DSU will use the principle of self-declaration of data.
- With reference to what was paid out in 2015, showing the 2016 C.U. Single Certification (for 2015) issued by
the Bocconi University Administration to all interested parties.
The ISPE can be derived from the ISEE Certificate as follows:
ISPE = ISP (Asset Situation Indicator) / Parameter of equivalency scale
This value is not required to be included in the ISU desk form, as it will be calculated by the system during the ranking
phase.
H.5 Calculation of the family household
The family household is made up of subjects who are members of the registered family at the date of submission of
the DSU, barring some exceptions.
Hereinafter are several examples:
36
A) PhD Programs
The applicant, enrolled in a PhD Program at Bocconi University, has the right to declare a restricted family
household, made up of the applicant, spouse and children (if present).
B) Forfeiture of parental responsibility/Provision for estrangement
If a provision exists with which the qualified Tribunal has ordered the forfeiture of one or both parents from
responsibility of the children, with custody given to third parties, or if there is a provision for estrangement from the
family residence, the applicant must document his/her financial situation in addition to that of all members of the
applicants family household he/she is in custody of and resulting registered residence, when completing the DSU.
C) Married and/or cohabitating parents of the student
Excepting what is stated in letters A and B, for the purposes of these Regulations and Application, applicants shall
always be part of a family household with married and/or cohabiting parents, unless considered independent.
D) Legally separated (separation approved by the Tribunal) or divorced parents of the student
For the purposes of these Regulations and Application, the applicants family household is that of the cohabiting
parent and resulting registered residence, when completing the DSU.
E) Parents of student applicant who never married and do not cohabitate
For the purposes of these Regulations and Application, the family household of the applicant and the cohabiting
parent shall be integrated with that of the other non-cohabiting parent. It shall not be integrated only if the parent
not cohabiting with the student is married, has other children with a person other than the students cohabiting
parent, is exempt from responsibility for the student or is required to pay alimony to support the student.
H.6 Independent students
Implementing what is set out in article 8, paragraph 2 of Italian Decree by the President of the Council of Ministers n.
159/2013, students are ALWAYS part of the parents family household, unless BOTH of the following requirements are
met:
a) the students residence, resulting from the registry evidence, is different from that of the family of origin and
has been established for at least two years prior to the date of the submission of the application, in a
property not owned by a member of the original family household;
b) income derived from subordinated or equivalent job, fiscally declared from at least two years, of at least
6,500.00.
If both of the abovementioned conditions are not met and duly documented for all the years of reference the
student cannot be considered as independent and for this reason the financial conditions of the students family of
origin will be taken into consideration for ISU Bocconi eligibility and the final ISU Bracket.
37
the interested party enters personal data online (the data entry is necessary for the production of the
application form, but in no circumstances does not replace the submission of the actual application);
the application form is to be printed, signed and sent to the Housing Center, as specified in the Housing
Application Requirements and Regulations, together with the requested documents indicated in this
attachment.
Failure to insert information online as set out in the regulations or failure to submit the signed application and/or
one or more documents will result in the disqualification from the application.
The necessary documentation must be sent via registered mail to the Housing Center Bocconi University Piazza
Sraffa 11, 20136 Milan Italy (postmark date will be considered as the date of submission), or delivered, strictly in a
sealed envelope to the Welcome Desk of the One-Stop Service Center of the Bocconi University Piazza Sraffa, 13
20136 Milan Italy (the delivery date will be considered as the date of submission) by and no later than 26 September
2016.
The documentation indicated below must be sent by 26 September 2016, and MUST BE bound with a plastic spiral
binding in a single booklet with the cover page being the signed and dated application form. It is not necessary to bind
translated and legalized documents, but they must be submitted at the same time as the booklet and in the same
envelope. All documents must be provided even if submitted in the past and/or to other University Offices.
Documents will not be returned, therefore students are invited to keep a photocopy of the documents they submit.
Failure to send documentation on time will result in the cancelation of the application.
ISU Bocconi has the power but is not required to inform students of any inconsistencies between declarations
made for ISEE purposes and what has been documented.
It is therefore recommended to carefully verify that what has been declared for ISEE purposes. Any inconsistencies
and related consequences are the responsibility of the student applicant.

Related extended version of the DSU (Dichiarazione Sostitutiva Unica) signed by the registrant in each
section (The Registrant is the person undersigning the DSU and assumes criminal and civil responsibility for
the correct completion of the information provided therein, pursuant to article 76 of Italian DPR n. 445 of 28
December 2000, regarding fabrications in documents and false declarations. The Registrant also declares to
have completed the related forms and that that which is expressed therein is true and verifiable pursuant to
article 43 of the aforementioned Italian DPR n. 445 of 2000, that is, can be documented upon the request of
qualified administrative offices).
Please note: Students holding an ISEE Certificate issued before January 2016 may not use this document for the
purposes of the Application but must have an ISEE Certificate with the statement si applica alle prestazioni

indicated) issued after 1 January 2016, according to current regulations.
I.3.1 Further documentation required for specific cases with assets held and income produced in Italy
If the assets of the household include companies or shares of unlisted or listed companies, documentation
certifying the net assets of the company at 31/12/2015 is required:
Companies which require a drafting of the Financial Statements (normal accounting):
- Chamber of commerce company registration;
- Balance Sheet: Financial Statements, Income Statement, Explanatory Notes;
- Statement of net assets (click here or use the statement that was completed when
requesting the ISEE Certificate).
Companies which do NOT require a drafting of the Financial Statements (simplified accounting):

- Register of amortizable assets;
- Document certifying other assets or property (company current accounts, shares, etc.);
- Statement of net assets (click here or use the statement that was completed when
requesting the ISEE Certificate).
If parents are legally separated/divorced: complete copy of the divorce/separation certificate approved by
the Tribunal (including sections related to financial agreements).
I.4 Documentation for assets and income deriving from countries outside of Italy
Because there are no regulations at a national level regarding assessment of the financial situation of family
households for non-Italian students and Italian students who are residents in countries outside Italy, their financial
situations will be assessed using the methods in use applied previously, but with reference to data related to the 2015
fiscal year.
On the basis of the Presidential Decree n394 of 31 August 1999, the financial and asset situation for foreign students
must be certified with appropriate documentation as follows:
1. the documentation must be issued by the relevant authorities in the country where the income was earned;
2. then it must be translated into Italian by qualified local Italian diplomatic representatives.
3. finally, it must to be legalized according one of the following:
i.
ii.
iii.
iv.
v.
39
a country that has not ratified the aforementioned Convention. For other EU countries, though
signatories of the Brussels Convention, the consular or Apostille regime of legalization shall hold fast,
if signatories to the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961.
The same regulations apply to students, regardless of their nationality, whose household derives assets or income in
countries outside Italy.
Assets and income produced outside of the eurozone will be evaluated based on the 2015 average exchange rate,
stated in the Attachment E.
For those countries where it is particularly difficult to receive certification from the local Italian embassy, the
documentation shall be provided by the relevant diplomatic or consular authorities of the given country in Italy and
legalized by the Prefecture (Prefettura) pursuant to article 33 of Italian D.P.R. n. 445 of 28 December 2000.
For foreign students coming from countries with low human development, listed in Ministerial Decree of 1 August
2014, and specified below, the evaluation of the students financial position is carried out on the basis of certification
issued by the Italian Representation in the students country, which declares that the student does not come from a
family known to have a high income and social level. This certification can also be given by Italian authorities which
are qualified to give a guarantee of economic coverage under the current enrolment arrangements for foreign
students at Italian universities. In the latter case, the certifying body must provide a written commitment to reimburse
the scholarship on behalf of the student, in case the scholarship is revoked. Countries with a low human development
to which these regulations apply are the following: Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso,
Burundi, Cambodia, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo Dem. Rep., Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea,
Ethiopia, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Haiti, Kiribati, Laos, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Maldives, Mali,
Mauritania, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Niger, Rwanda, Samoa, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone,
Solomon Islands, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Yemen, Zambia.
Students that present assets and/or income deriving from countries other than Italy, must also declare any income
and assets held in Italy by any member of their household, according to Italian Decree by the President of the Council
of Ministers of 5 December 2013 n. 159 and, as a result, are required to submit ISEE certification with the statement
si applica alle prestazioni agevolate per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario in the name of the student applicant
(with Italian Fiscal Code indicated), which declares these earnings.
All students whose family households owned assets at 31 December 2015 or earned income in 2015 in countries
other than Italy must submit the following documentation even if already partially submitted during previous years
and/or to other University offices:
Document
