BIT OBJECTIVES
1. To develop quality skilled technicians and professional technologist in their chosen field of
specialization (Automotive and Electrical Technology) as agents in attaining the national
objectives
(NIC-hood status).
2. To promote a responsive, morally, culturally and globally competitive professional and
leaders.
3. To equip students with knowledge and skills necessary for technical vocational instruction,
entrepreneurship and industrial and service shop management.
4. To elevate the morale of manual labor by educating the youth with quality technological
education
and skills development and;
5. To provide students with adequate industrial training and seminars to cope with the rapid
changes in technology.

Course Description:
This course introduces the fundamental concepts of motors and motor controls.
General Objective
To put focus on an all-embracing understanding of physical distinctiveness of motors.
Specific Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Provide a solid basic knowledge of electrical machines, useful for further studies and
practice.
2. Present applications of electrical drives and power generation.
3. Properly select, connect, and troubleshoot motors and control circuits as well as
tendencies in future development of electrical machines.
