Songs are a n essential p a r t of a c h i l d ' s w o r l d . T h e y f i l l u p the spaces
w i t h h a p p y sounds a n d f u n n y w o r d s . T h e y are a p a r t of special m e m o r i e s .
T h e songs w e l e a r n e d as c h i l d r e n stay w i t h u s t h r o u g h o u t o u r lives.
Songs are also w o n d e r f u l teaching tools. W h e r e possible, the lyrics i n this
b o o k have been m o d i f i e d to make t h e m simple a n d practical. This makes t h e m
easier t o l e a r n a n d also increases their effectiveness f o r l a n g u a g e t e a c h i n g .
