The teachers, administration and staff of Hamilton High School believe in the equal
worth and dignity of all Hamilton students and are committed to educate them to the
maximum potential. We are guided by our vision of a twenty-first century students, a

Course Syllabus
Cultures: Acquired knowledge of their culture and other cultures within the
Hispanic community and also be able to appreciate the richness of these
cultures. (Standard 2.1-2.2)
Connections: Acquired the language through interdisciplinary subjects and be
able to compare and contrast both language and culture. (Standard 3.1-3.2)
Comparisons: Acquired a more in depth understanding of the language
through comparisons of both culture and language itself in relationship to the
English language and the American culture. (Standard 4.1-4.2)
Community: To become a life long learner of the language and also be able
to participate in a multicultural and multilingual society within their place of
origin and within the world. (Standard 5.1-5.2)
Course Objectives:
This Advanced course is structured for the student, who has completed Span 1AB,
and Span 2AB.
This course will offer students an opportunity to enhance their communicative
skills in Spanish while continuing to develop awareness and appreciation of
Latin- America and Iberian Cultures.
Students will function at the advanced writing, reading, listening and Speaking
in the classroom
Course Guidelines
Grading, Attendance, Class Participation and Written Assignments Expectations,
Classroom Rules and Consequences.
To receive an A for this course:
Assignments must be turned in as scheduled.
Assignments must be completed as directed.
Assignments are to be turned in containing the following information: your name,
course title, period, assignment title, and date the assignment was given.
Be on time and attend nearly all class meetings.
