Setting up your Acer n300, c510 or c530

Set up your Acer PDA following the instructions as described
in the PDA's manual.
Getting Started
Getting Started
Please ensure your Acer PDAs battery is fully charged.

Set the correct date and time on your Acer PDA for optimum
performance.
Installing CoPilot on your Acer n300, c510 or c530

CoPilot software and maps is pre-loaded on the CoPilot storage
card.
Simply insert the card into the SD card slot of the Acer PDA.
Installation will begin automatically.
Follow the on-screen steps:
Safety and license agreement: Select I accept
GPS technology information: Select OK
Installation of the CoPilot Pocket PC application will
commence. Select Device as the location to install the
CoPilot Pocket PC application. Press Install.
Note: If set-up does not automatically run after inserting the card,
select Windows Start > Programs > File Explorer then browse to
the storage card and select the 2577 folder and press Autorun.

CoPilot uses Global Positioning Satellites (GPS) to locate your

position on a map and to provide turn-by-turn guidance to a
destination.

Note: Please see instructions below for Acer n300. Please

refer to page 6 for instructions on setting up Acer c510 and
c530 devices.
Instructions for Acer n300

It is essential that you connect a Holux GPS-236 Bluetooth
receiver with your Acer n300 to obtain a GPS fix so you can
enjoy satellite navigation on your device
Press the grey Bluetooth symbol in the bottom right corner
of the Windows Start screen and select Turn Bluetooth
ON from the pop-up menu. The Bluetooth symbol will
turn blue to indicate that it is switched on
If you have the optional GNS FM9 TMC cable, attach it
now. Otherwise, proceed to the next step
Switch on your Holux GPS-236 Bluetooth receiver
Launch CoPilot by selecting Windows Start > Programs and
then select the CoPilot icon
After several seconds delay, you will be asked in a pop-up
screen to select your Bluetooth device. Select Holux
GPSlim236.

Instructions for Acer c510 and c530

The Acer c510 and c530 have an integrated GPS receiver
which allows you to obtain a GPS fix so you can enjoy
satellite navigation on your device.
Launch CoPilot by selecting Windows Start > Programs and
then select the CoPilot icon
If you have the optional GNS FM9 TMC cable, attach it
now.
Connecting a GNS FM9 TMC cable (By Model)

If you have the optional GNS FM9 TMC cable you can receive
real-time traffic information via TMC.
The GNS FM9 TMC cable attaches to the n300/c510/c530 car
charger which connects to your Acer PDA.
CoPilot will search for TMC channels and report traffic
information.

Take a look at the CoPilot Home Screen

The Home screen is displayed when you first launch CoPilot,
or it can be accessed by selecting Menu > Options > Home.

Home screen menu options are:

Going To to enter a destination and receive guidance
Start Demo to view a CoPilot demonstration to see CoPilot
navigate to a pre-defined location
Help topics about basics such as entering a destination and
GPS setup
Settings to customise advanced Routing options, change
Guidance, Map and Language options. Plus, additional
settings to enable/disable Points of Interest (POIs) and
safety camera alerts
GPS for setting up an integrated/Bluetooth receiver.
CoPilot Menu Button

Press the Menu button to access the following sub-menus:
View allows you to change between a choice of 6 driving views
Trip enables you to enter a new destination, edit an existing
destination, add additional destinations and access saved
trips.
Mode is used to set CoPilot for Guidance, Walking or
Planning purposes
Traffic incidents along your planned route are reported
into CoPilot using a TMC data feed (optional)
Options to run the CoPilot demonstration, use the CoPilot
Help and Tutorial functions, and read CoPilot license
information
Quit CoPilot to close and exit the program.

The Select Stop screen will be displayed and provides you
with several different ways to enter a destination.

Pour configurer votre PDA Acer, suivez les instructions qui
figurent dans le manuel du PDA.
Assurez-vous que la batterie de votre PDA Acer est
pleinement charge.
Pour garantir des performances optimales, rglez la date et
lheure correctes sur votre PDA Acer.
Installation de CoPilot sur votre Acer n300,

c510 ou c530
Le logiciel et les cartes CoPilot sont prchargs sur la carte de
stockage CoPilot.
Insrez simplement la carte dans lemplacement pour carte SD
du PDA Acer. Linstallation va dmarrer automatiquement.

CoPilot utilise un systme GPS (Global Positioning Satellites)
pour localiser votre position sur une carte et vous guider,
tournant par tournant, jusqu une destination.
Remarque : pour le modle Acer n300, reportez-vous aux
instructions ci-dessous. Reportez-vous la page 13 pour
obtenir des instructions sur la configuration des appareils
Acer c510 et c530.

Vous devez connecter un rcepteur Bluetooth Holux GPS236 votre Acer n300 pour obtenir un GPS Fixe et
bnficier ainsi de la navigation par satellite sur votre
appareil.

Appuyez sur le symbole gris Bluetooth qui apparat

en bas droite de lcran de dmarrage de Windows et
slectionnez Mise en Route Bluetooth partir du menu
contextuel. Le symbole Bluetooth devient alors bleu et
indique quil est allum.
Si vous possdez le cble facultatif GNS TMC FM9, reliez-le
maintenant. Sinon, passez ltape suivante.
Allumez votre rcepteur GPS Bluetooth Holux GPS-236.
Lancez CoPilot en slectionnant Windows > dmarrer >

Quelques secondes plus tard, un message vous demande

Prsentation de l'Ecran de Bienvenue de CoPilot
l'Ecran de Bienvenue saffiche au dmarrage de CoPilot. Vous
pouvez galement y accder en slectionnant Menu >
Options > Ecran Bienvenue.
Les options du Menu de l'Ecran de Bienvenue sont les suivantes:
En Route Pour vous permet de saisir une destination et de
recevoir des instructions.
Lancer Dmo affiche une dmonstration qui vous explique
comment CoPilot navigue jusqu une destination prdfinie.
Aide propose des rubriques daide sur des informations
de base, telles que la saisie dune destination et la
configuration GPS.
Paramtres vous permet de personnaliser des options
ditinraires avances et de modifier les options de Navigation,
de Carte et de Langue. Des paramtres permettant
dactiver/de dsactiver les alertes de Points dintrts (POI) et
des Alertes de Scurit sont galement disponibles.

Appuyez sur le bouton Menu pour accder aux sousmenus suivants :
Vue vous permet dafficher lune des six vues de conduite.
Trajet vous permet de saisir une nouvelle destination,
de modifier une destination existante, dajouter des

Mode vous permet dutiliser les diffrents modes de
CoPilot : Navigation, Piton ou Planification.
Trafic signale dans CoPilot les incidents de trafic qui
surviennent sur votre itinraire prvu, par le biais dune
source de donnes TMC alimente en continu (en option).
Options vous permet dexcuter la dmonstration CoPilot,
daccder laide, daccder au tutorial de CoPilot et
dafficher des informations sur la licence CoPilot.

Abbiegehinweisen an Ihr Ziel zu fhren.

Anweisungen fr Acer n300

Es ist notwendig, dass Sie Ihren Holux GPS-236-BluetoothEmpfnger mit dem Acer n300 verbinden, damit Sie ein GPSSignal erhalten und Sie mit Ihrem Gert navigieren knnen.
Tippen Sie auf das graue Bluetooth-Symbol rechts unten im
Willkommensbildschirm. Ein kleines Men ffnet sich.
Whlen Sie Bluetooth aktivieren aus. Das BluetoothSymbol ndert die Farbe zu blau und indiziert damit,
dass Bluetooth aktiviert ist.
Wenn Sie ber ein FM9-Kabel (TMC-Kabel) verfgen,
verbinden Sie es jetzt mit Ihrem Acer PDA. Anderfalls gehen
Sie zum nchsten Schritt.
Schalten Sie Ihren Holux GPS-236-Bluetooth-Empfnger ein.
Starten Sie CoPilot ber Start > Programme > und whlen Sie
das Symbol CoPilot.

Configuracin de los Acer n300, c510 o c530
Configure el Acer PDA siguiendo las instrucciones tal y como se
describen en el manual de la PDA.
Compruebe que la batera del Acer PDA est completamente
cargada.
Configure la fecha y hora correctas en el Acer PDA para
obtener el mejor rendimiento.
Instalacin de CoPilot en el Acer n300, c510 o c530

Los mapas y software de CoPilot estn ya cargados en la tarjeta
de almacenamiento de CoPilot.
Slo tiene que insertar la tarjeta en la ranura de la tarjeta
SD del Acer PDA. La instalacin comenzar automticamente.
Siga las instrucciones de la pantalla:
Acuerdo de licencia y seguridad: seleccione Acepto.
Informacin de tecnologa GPS: seleccione Aceptar.
Se iniciar la instalacin de la aplicacin CoPilot Pocket PC
Seleccione Dispositivo como localizacin para instalar la
aplicacin CoPilot Pocket PC. Presione Instalar.

CoPilot usa el Sistema de Posicionamiento Global (GPS) para
localizar su posicin en un mapa y proporcionarle instrucciones
paso a paso hacia un destino.
Nota: consulte las instrucciones siguientes del Acer n300.
Consulte la pgina 27 para obtener instrucciones para la
configuracin de los dispositivos Acer c510 y c530.

Es necesario que conecte un receptor Bluetooth Holux GPS236 con su Acer n300 para obtener una conexin GPS y
disfrutar de la navegacin por satlite en su dispositivo.

derecha de la pantalla Inicio de Windows y seleccione
Activar Bluetooth en el men desplegable. El smbolo del
Bluetooth se pondr azul para indicar que est encendido.
Si tiene el cable opcional GNS FM9 TMC, conctelo ahora.
Si no lo tiene, contine al siguiente paso.
Encienda su receptor Bluetooth Holux GPS-236
Para iniciar CoPilot, seleccione en Windows Inicio >

La pantalla Inicio aparece cuando inicia por primera vez
CoPilot o cuando se accede mediante Men > Opciones > Inicio.
Las opciones del men de la pantalla Inicio son:

Iniciar Demo para ver un ejemplo de cmo CoPilot navega
a una localizacin predefinida.
Ayuda sobre temas bsicos como introducir un destino
y configurar el GPS.
Configuracin para personalizar opciones de Ruta y cambiar
opciones de Gua, Mapa e Idioma. Adems, configuracin
adicional para activar/desactivar Puntos de Inters (POI)
y alertas de cmara de seguridad.
GPS para configurar un receptor Bluetooth integrado.

Presione el botn Men para acceder a los siguientes
submens:
Ver permite cambiar entre 6 tipos de vistas de conduccin.
Viaje permite introducir un nuevo destino, editar un destino
ya existente, aadir destinos adicionales y acceder a viajes
guardados.
Modo se usa para configurar CoPilot para Gua, Caminando
o Planificacin.
Los incidentes de Trfico en la ruta que tiene planeada se
registran en CoPilot mediante informacin TMC (opcional).
Opciones para ejecutar la demostracin de CoPilot, usar las
funciones de Ayuda y Tutorial de CoPilot y leer la
informacin sobre la licencia de CoPilot.

Per individuare la posizione dellutente su una mappa e fornire

istruzioni svolta per svolta fino alla destinazione, CoPilot
utilizza il sistema GPS (Global Positioning System).
Nota: per il PDA Acer n300, seguire le istruzioni riportate di
seguito. Per informazioni sulla configurazione dei dispositivi
Acer c510 e c530, vedere pagina 34.

Configurazione del sistema GPS
Per ricevere i segnali di posizionamento GPS e poter cos

usufruire della navigazione satellitare sul dispositivo in
uso, fondamentale collegare un ricevitore Bluetooth
Holux GPS-236 al PDA Acer n300.
Selezionare il simbolo Bluetooth grigio nellangolo
inferiore destro della schermata di avvio di Windows,
quindi nel menu di scelta rapida selezionare Attiva
Bluetooth. Il simbolo Bluetooth diventa di colore blu
ad indicare lavvenuta attivazione.
Se si dispone del cavo GNS FM9 TMC opzionale, collegarlo
in questa fase della procedura. In caso contrario, passare
alla fase successiva.
Accendere il ricevitore Bluetooth Holux GPS-236.
Avviare CoPilot selezionando Start > Programmi in
Windows, quindi licona CoPilot.
Dopo qualche istante, viene richiesto di selezionare il
dispositivo Bluetooth in uso. Selezionare Holux GPSlim236.

Istruzioni per lAcer c510 e c530

I modelli Acer c510 e c530 dispongono di un ricevitore GPS
integrato, che consente di ricevere i segnali di
posizionamento GPS in modo tale da poter usufruire della
navigazione satellitare sul dispositivo in uso.
Avviare CoPilot selezionando Start > Programmi in
Windows, quindi licona CoPilot.
Se si dispone del cavo GNS FM9 TMC opzionale, collegarlo
in questa fase della procedura
Collegare un cavo GNS FM9 TMC (In funzione del

modello)
Se si dispone di un cavo opzionale GNS FM9 TMC, si possono
ricevere informazioni sul traffico in tempo reale, grazie alla
funzione di trasmissione di informazioni in tempo reale sul
traffico TMC.
Il cavo GNS FM9 TMC si collega al caricabatterie da auto
n300/c510/c530 connesso al palmare Acer.
CoPilot ricercher canali TMC e trasmetter informazioni sul
traffico.

Stel uw Acer PDA in conform de instructies uit de handleiding

Zorg ervoor dat de accu van uw Acer PDA volledig is opgeladen.
Stel voor optimale prestaties van uw Acer PDA de juiste datum
en tijd in.

De CoPilot-software en kaarten zijn vooraf genstalleerd op de

CoPilot maakt gebruik van Global Positioning Satellites (GPS)
om uw locatie op een kaart te bepalen en u naar uw
bestemming te leiden.

Het is van groot belang dat u een Holux GPS-236
Bluetooth-ontvanger aansluit op uw Acer n300 om zo GPS
te krijgen, zodat u kunt profiteren van satellietnavigatie
op uw apparaat.

Druk op het grijze Bluetooth-symbool in de

rechteronderhoek van het scherm Windows Start en
selecteer Bluetooth inschakelen in het pop-upmenu.
Het Bluetooth-symbool wordt blauw om aan te geven
dat Bluetooth is ingeschakeld.

Start CoPilot door Windows Start > Programmas te

kunt u actuele verkeersinformatie via TMC ontvangen.
De GNS FM9 TMC-kabel wordt aangesloten op de
n300/c510/c530 auto-oplader die op zijn beurt is verbonden
met uw Acer PDA.
CoPilot zoekt zelfstandig naar TMC-kanalen en zal de
verkeersinformatie doorgeven.

Reis; hiermee kunt u een nieuwe bestemming invoeren, een
bestaande bestemming bewerken, aanvullende bestemmingen
toevoegen en toegang krijgen tot opgeslagen reizen.
Modus wordt gebruikt om CoPilot in te stellen op de modi
Begeleiding, Wandelen of Plannen.
Verkeersincidenten op uw geplande route worden door
CoPilot aangegeven met behulp van TMC-gegevens (optioneel).
Opties; hiermee kunt u de CoPilot-demonstratie starten,
de CoPilot Help en tutorials gebruiken en de CoPilot
licentie-informatie opvragen.
CoPilot afsluiten om het programma te beindigen en
te verlaten.
