co-curricular activities. Engaging community and make the school a disciplined, united

Social context : (Surrounding community) Mostly middle class (Govt. employee or
businessmen) composed of Twipra & Bengalee people. Predominantly the students can
be divided in social categories in respect to their quantity as follows.

Two things that motivate students to come to school :
Excellent Record of the school in Board exams and co curricular activities.
2.How do you let students know what your school stands for :It is a school that
helps grow them for meeting challenges of ever changing society.

Describe your staff : Capacitative, Mostly devoted to teaching learning process. Some
lack in capacity though satisfied to be a part of the reputed institution.
4.If You have committees : S.M.C/ DIFFERENT SBCOMMITIES FOR SCHOOL
How the school uses them for programme & school Improvement : Through regular
meeting, fixing target & try to achieve those.
5.Teachers (How the school uses them for programme & school improvement) : Decisions
regarding planning are taken from staff meeting after discussion set targets and try to
achieve that.

students & teachers jointly organized a superb cultural evening
3 to 5 goals for strength, weaknesses and how those will be addressed by our school
STRENGTH : a) Glorious record in the field of school Education.
b) Helping community leaders.
c) Mostly well equipped teachers.
Strategy to maintain and increase circle of Influence of strengths.
a) Displaying success stories On wall of the school or display boards for Motivating
the students, teachers, guardians.
b) Engaging community teachers move with the school by meeting them not only in
formal meeting, but also in school programmes (fest etc)
c) :Motivating the teachers for capacity enhancement by organizing workshops 6 times a
year for one day each.
Weakness : i) Absenteeism in class X and XII on Saturdays.
ii) Lack of Infrastructure (No kitchen shed, Dining space, shortage of class
room)
iii) Lack of Discipline among a little section of students.
Strategy to address : i) The cause is Students are more concerned for AIEEE or JEE
Exam and go to private coaching centres
i) Organizing special classes for AIEEE & JEE on Saturday.
ii) Together with the SMC attempting to manage funds from Deptt.
iii) Explaining the main causes. Organizing conflict management
programme (discussion etc) If continues taking stern action.
iv) i) Exploring innovative ideas with the students.
ii) Providing ownership to students for maintaining school property.
iii) Councelling by psychology faculty (including parents)
Opportunities : i) Eminent educated guardians

Strategies : i) Eminent personalities will be invited to take classes on certain day for
inspiring the children and for engaging them more with the schools development.
ii) Engaging them for school related issues success and failures maintaining close
tie up and motivating them to raise the issues among community and with the Govt.
iii) Inspiring them to research and reflect which will initiate capacity building.
iv) Non Govt agencies will be engaged using schools reputation. (Like NEEPCO,
UBI ,SBI etc).
v) Students motivation and finding aid from different org.
Threats :
i) A section of Over cautious guardian forcing wards to unhealthy
competition.
ii) Continuous Media attention.

Strategy :

iii) Private coaching centres.


i) Exploring way out through staff and guardian meet on the issue.
ii) Restricting outsiders entry into the school premise without prior

permission.
iii) Indentifying what extra the coaching centres are providing and
engaging teachers, voluntary resource person from highly educated, eminent guardians to
provide the same to students.
