The AVD 350 utilizes our most up to date Arc Voltage Driven (AVD) technology which uses pure DC power
from Arc Energy to drive the wire feed motor. This patented feature automatically controls the wire rate
to maintain a set arc gap for perfect atomization. All Thermion AVD spray systems are fitted with the
most advanced long life friction free wire feeders with sealed roller bearings for all moving parts. Each
wire drive roll has its own spring pressure so they operate independently of each other requiring no
operator attendance. This quick and simple wire clamping system allows the wire to automatically be
straightened as it is feed through the feeder. Being driven by the arc voltage, the spraying automatically
holds steady at a wide range of wire feed rates, therefore allows precise control of a multitude of spray
rates for various sized components while using the same size wire. With the small spools of material
being mounted inside the machine and its ability to use less air than other systems this compact and
light weight system can be easily carried about. The light weight flexible leads allow access and
maneuverability to most all areas that needing coating. The patented wire drive has virtually eliminated
welding of wire to the tips and extended spare parts life, with replacement being simple and quick when
required. This system can spray all types in sizes; 1/16, 2mm or 3/32wires and allows applications to
perform; both touch- up work as well as moderate size production work
requiring high production rates. Cart mounted, this unit is suited for both
shop and field work. This system can spray all types of 1/16, 2 mm or 3/32 wire
by only changing your settings slightly to perform work on large or small
components at the desired production rate without time loss for equipment
parts changes.
