Novels and plays AP English III students may read and discuss as a class:
The Glass Menagerie (Williams)
The Crucible (Miller)
The Great Gatsby (Fitzgerald)
The Things They Carried (OBrien)
Of Mice and Men (Steinbeck)
The Outliers (Gladwell)

You may choose a book from this list each 9 week period. This collection of titles are novels that College Board
suggests for student to have read by the time they take their AP Literature Exams their senior year.
Please remember a number of these books deal with adults who are in adult situations. Of course, you want to
choose a book that is the best fit for you; therefore, do not hesitate to speak to your parents and your teacher to find a
novel that you will find enjoyable.
