Pea Game tips 2:

Pea-pea:
For a fast use of steal to finger clip in such a way that it allows
for fingers to be implied to be empty, done in such a way that it
would seem to fast to be trickery (as people think it takes more
time than it realy does to steal and tuck a pea away in finger
palm). You use the standard pinch steal (index ontop of shell
and thumb/middle on each side respectively). After you push
shell to final place, pick hand up and move to right quickly AS
you use thumb to rotate pea between the middle and ring at
thetips of finger. Noting that your hand must be tilted upward
and to the right slightly
Invisi-steal of the Thumb:
This is a thumb steal variation that causes a retention of vision
in such a way that it looks like you are inexplicably clean. You
slide shell with right hand forward and to the left a bit (allowing
pea out under thumb and down the wrist).then tilt shell over
and up a bit just up until a few cm before the pea would be
exposed. turn it down and reverse the process except execute
faster AND come straight back with hand.

Ghost shell subtleties:


- Show the people that they can see ball move around under
shell which gives them an advantage because it gives
them more advantage over you. Let them see ball and tell
them to look hard for ball and they will see it (point out
how they can notice such and such when nut is
stoppedrealy you are priming them to look for visual
optic phenomenon in any shell). Now shuffle the shells

and have them guess for free.note they get an extra 3


seconds to look through shell to see if they can see pea.
Now you simply hold out pea and whatever one they call
you load pea under and re conferm they saw the glint or
shape of ball in shell. From this point on you can now
psych them out by making them think they realy see a ball
moving under shells or simply hiding by the old witch
doctor effect ala jermey mixed with the fact the warping of
shell walls and the clearness make it seem if a ball could
be under any shell. So now you can do above or simply
wave finger slightly behind one of the shells thusly
creating a shadow streak and it seems if the ball is inside
moving. Or you can have ball under another shell but
place pinky behind a not hot shell and it looks like the ball
is realy under the not hot shell. Note that you can make
them see or not see ball more by placing fingers behind
shell and thusly shutting out some light which makes it
easer to see in. or switch their attention on different shells
by simply allowing the ball to roll back deep into the
shell/obscuring the outline and run thumb secretly along
ridge behind another shell = the inner movement illusion
or make it seem like the pea is still under shell when its not
and now with the finger shadow principle you can cause
pea to jump around to diff shells seemingly.
- So basicly in a nutshell: prime them to look for things any
shell has going for it in terms of looking for pea inside, let
them win based on what THEY think is a give away for
seeing the pea in shell, use of fingers behind shell to:
makeit seem if a pea is under or rolling or to dim the
lights.

The money hold: to do the money hold you need to have one bill
with a mini neoD magnet in it and centered to the inside left (as

you hold the bill in the clamp position) this allows for a ditch
and holdout configuration. Now you must note that large
denominations go in the left hand and MORE bills of smaller
value to the right ie: 2 20s in left and 4 ones in right. This does
2 main things. It keeps the mind focused on the left moreso than
the right hand due to the larger denom, and it also conceils the
steal/ load better for the dominant hand.
Out of the shell game configuration: this set up you do the game
but keep the ball completely out of the shells until you are done
officialy moving the shells (note with this configuration you
should make use of the flash 1-2 moves before you stop, just so
they are more confident you have the ball under (you can also
do an accidental turn over, where your sleeve or palm accidently
bumps into a shell turning it over exposing the pea. This gives
the impression that in an event uncontrolled by you exposed
the pea so you couldnt have anyway of knowing that would
happen so therefore you must be keeping the pea in play. Now
you have the people A) point to one shell and put finger on it or
just put money down ontop (for this ruse you accidently knock
money to side giving you reason to shift the shells to the
side)you now adjust shells due to accidently nudging them
or to spred them out away from the other persons handthusly
loading the pea under a shell. Now you have one more person
touch a shell for you.note the words touch a shell for me.
This can mean 1) pick one for me or 2) go ahead and pick
onenoting that YOU never actuly touch the shells at this point
THEY do the touching. So now you can come off clean- if they
touch the one with a pea you simply redirect- ok thats for me,
thanks! or if they pick one not hot you redirect- ok thanks for
doing that! That leave this one . this ruse gives a clean
maneuverit keeps the pea out of play but allows for you to not
have to touch the shells at the end giving rise to the suspicion of
keeping the pea out (afterall you would have to get the pea in
play at somepoint in order for there to even be a pea present). Or

you can have the pea out of play and simply drop the pea behind
the shell not called at which point you SHOW HAND EMPTY
BEFORE GOING TO IT and lift shell up to show. Or you can
The M force: to be able to keep a pea out of play and reintroduce later but in such a way its clean/simply have person
think they have free choice = magicians force. They put money
on a shell (at this point all empty) you then spread the other 2
out/load. And use the ambiguous wording from the above
method. Or you simply ask a person to pick one to set aside and
one to bet on.you then ask them to point to one..simply
alter wording and actions depending on what they got.
Remember to reienforce their actions with your wording during
the rewind.

Reverse above: (have all shells with peas undersimply push


the ones called forward and DONT TOUCH the remaining)
(or you can say ok that leaves this one lets move this to the side
out of the way)

Accidental hooking slip: as you pretend to look afar for cops or


ask who just placed a hundred? you accidently let the ball
flash and straighten it in a haphazard non caring manner = steal.
They are sure you didnt know ball flashed
Holdout: after they pick hot one you pull other 2 back and push
hot forward/steal (or you can do the longer subtlty = you
slightly push hot forward then as you tal push it a bit more and
steal). You then pretend to peak under caps as if finding where
ball is and load it. Now you simply ask them to turn over cap =
nothing.tell them they get one more (you can use magicians

force for a very very clean choose to throw them off of the hes
just stealing it thought)you steal before you ask or simply
have an extra pea in l hand you turn over both at same time as
you steal one and load the other = VERY clean burn or you
can turn over an empty, turnover-steal the one they pick and
pick up the last cap as you behind load
Clean show: cleanly and fast-ly show under cap empty. Pick up
real empty and move forward and up tilt up a bit so people can
see the inside slsightly. Then pick the hot cap and move
forward stealing the pea and the second you steal lift up cap
(continuing the forward motion) but dont tilt up. Now place
down as you pull backthe load should be very very smooth
Clean steal 2: do the thumb ride steal, but as you pull hand back
tword yourself; curl middle and ring finger in as you clip ball,
this gives clean illusion
Fake out steal: a great way to entice a person to pick one cap
over another. To do this first you must seem to get frusterated at
your self and let the pea flash a few times. Then shift an empty
cap
Why move theory: a good reason to shift the hot cap forward in
order to steal pea BUT have a good reason is: after they choose
cap say are you sure? Place the money on it AS they come to
it with cashpush it forward slightly, and when money touches
it you immediately take hand off and place ONE FINGER ontop
of it and say here man you have to keep it down, hold your
finger on it dont loose your chance man. This when done fast
will give a perfect illusion.
2nd choice: after they got the wrong cap you offer them a second
chance for a small amount of cash more or you can say double
or nothing. You simply hold pea out and when they point to cap
you slide it forward and turn over showing nothing. You then
slide the last cap forward and LIFT move the pea under the cap.
For this one you have to keep ball held out the whole game or

you simply put pea under the first cap chosen/the main choice as
a hold out for the rest of routine. Then you steal it under guise of
making way for the other 2 caps for the later part, this is a good
way to make one bet into 2 (one large sum and one small)
Note: you can if you have the money in between fingers have
ball held out behind and under them and as you slide hand
across board you let pea touch board and thusly slips under the
cap that is trailing not too far behind. Or you can use the money
as a way to load the ball in a way where you use the edge of
money to turn over cap or to slide under cap and lift it up or you
can place some carboard in the cash and use it in a manner
similar to the thumb slide or you can drop ball on surface and
keep it hidden via money and you can move hand all the way so
the end of cash is covering ball as you then (after a pause) move
cap in that direction and the second it covers pea you move
money. This throws them off as they just saw surface clear.
Retention cash: with this you can use cash to hide aball as its
being loaded. A--- have ball stuck to side of cash (you stick to
left outter side of cash if you are right handed, just by simply
keeping right hand turned inward and to left you hid ball) via
wax, show a cap empty and pick it up with left hand. Hold bill
with pea face down AND TOUCHING surface, slide bill to
right at the EXACT time you place cap downthis dislodges
pea as cap covers and gives a realy good retention of vision also
you can steal pea by having a magnetic ball and having a more
powerful mag in tip of bills, so by pushing cap forward fast or
tipping it (proving to be super fair by not even touching the
caps) the magnet grabs ball. B--- to do without gimmicks you
simply pinch ball between thump and cash, turn hand to left;
tapping the empty area as if to emphasize it and slide hand right
and revolve over as cap comes down.
Tilted board shift ruse: in order to have a reason to shift caps
and thus reload.(used when you are taking 2 bets per phase or
if they choose correct one) accidently tild board a little bit too

far or accidently hit tips of caps as you move your arm across
the surface. You then shift them back into place thusly stealing
or you turn surface around to let them pick after they call one
(Ala gambling sam) and as an after thought line the caps up
ALL THE CAPS. Or you can have 3 people choose after the
mark picks the hot capyou simply dispurse the caps across the
surface to mark who has what one/ shifting them closer to each
person. Or you execute like the classic force, when they go for
one (you ask them specificly to PLACE FINGER NEXT TO A
CAP) as they make a move you simply straighten them out to
make it clear for fairness so they see over and around others or
have them CALL a cappretend not to hear and shift them
forward calling them wait wait, this one on side is one, this one
in middle is two ect) or you simply say so you want
this..point and touch hot cap.not these as you shift
both off and slightly bump hot one forward. Or you move
them to make room for money or you say you dont know what
they want and move them forward or you just ask them to place
finger next to it as you get something from pocket, you then
move the other 2 back and move cap to the edge and then ask
them to shift cap over the money (making sure that its one bill
and flatso they cant see anything)
The normal move:
To move a hot shell forward and seemingly have the pea travel
with cap (to reinforce fact that pea cannot slip out back without
some major manipulation). This is done by pushing shell
forward and letting pea come out/pinch it. When you stop the
cap immediately lift it up tilting it back tword you AS you use
middle finger to lightly kick ball forward this gives a near
perfect illusion.
The fair way: this allows a fair handling of shells/when you
have to extract a pea/they picked the hot one without them being

able to reverse track how you slipped pea into another shell. To
do this you verify are you sure you want this one?....i cant help
you because I even lost track have them place money and
finger on cap ( this does a few thingspsychologicly it makes
them think later on/false mem that they had complete control
over cap after they called it. Also it disguises this fact in fairness
by the idea that it makes sense to have them place the bet o the
cap and press it down with finger. Also by having them press
down on cap they cant peek at the same time it give them an
altered sense of control over the outcome of that round and
lastly the fact they have money on the cap it will cover the load
from the spectators own prying eyes). You then push the other 2
emptys forward ahead of cap FIRST. Then you re-verify that
they dont want these. You then ASK them to take money off
and turn over cap..this is very sneaky because the second you
say that you push the cap closer to them as they take money off.
This gives another altered sense that they turned it over/had
control. But you MUST MUST make this last conversation
seem like an oh well I was just trying to help ect. b/c these
convos go hand in hand with a little physical helping to the other
person/non shelantly pushing cap to them. You then pretend to
peek at under the caps as it you realy dont know where ball is
and therefore you couldent have known to steal it from that cap
(you can also choose to do this part before they place money).
Then give them a second chance ect. You then depending on
what they choose, place ball behind the one not chosen and do a
lift position (placing ball under shell as you lift). Or you simply
introduce a second pea after they make a bet.
The fair hand move: to make it seem like you hand is empty in a
smooth way when you are being burned. To do this you make
the notion before the game even starts that you will be as fair as
possible as long as they are too and to do this you will promise
to touch the shells as little as possible/ reason for using finger
tips/ironicly enough also the best move positions for you hand

require a clenched hand and finger tips at tip of shells. You push
shell forward/steal (its between thumb and middle), AS you
bring hand up and to right slightly you revolve ball between
middle and ring finger (note this is NOT a pinch, meaning it is
litteraly between the space between fingers.normaly this
holding is a definite no no due to the open fact people can see a
ball between you fingers, but since the mechanics are different
here it actuly provides speed and grip stability and they wont see
it b/c of the way you hold your fingers naturaly when you take
your hand away from something) AS you allow index, thumb
and pinky finger to extend relaxedly as if you just hold your
hand after you set something down (as a reference point for
understanding this) AND pull middle and ring finger inward
sligltyy.
LG loading: to load a big pea (or cumquat fruit) as a kicker:
have it pinched between the middle and ring finger. Pick up the
cap with the index and thumb, as you lift up turn cap inward a
little (to face you) AS you bring hand in tword yourself a little
and the upward and simutaniously deposite fruit, immediately
place cap straight down side by side of the large object to
terminate persons following the visual give aways that the fruid
came from behind the cap. The whole thing played out gives a
good illusion and puts a few different blocks in the way to
prevent people from reverse engineering this mentaly.
The restart: this allows you to have the people think pea is under
cap before you show it or move anything around thusly giving
you the advantage to place pea under any uncalled shell without
need to steal pea or it allows you to simply be one ahead: after
revealing the pea, place the back lip of cap against pea as you
place cap over, stop and tell them that you need X or some other
thing or you can just tell them that you will make it easyer so
they can follow. This is all done while they see pea. You then
drop cap and push it forward out of the line creating a triangle
configuration and stealing the pea and telling them that they will

find it. You now manipulate the other 2 non hot caps and load
the pea under one, THEN manipulate the fake hot cap and then
the fake hot and non hot cap together. This allows them to see
you did not have anyway of stealing and loading to the cap you
touched at the beginning before you touched the fake hot (which
they think is hot)
Note that after you show the 2 caps empty then show the pea
before you do this above move, it will take some heat off the
fact you just had your hands on the hot cap before manipulation
of this phase.

Behind caper: you can have pea held out behind a cap and to
show a clean empty you make a big gesture with your hands,
making sure they see it empty. Have thumb come in at an angle
and press pea against shell at angle as you lift up.this creates
an extreamly clean reveal of an empty cap if ou ever need to
hold pea out behind it.
Shell glass set up: the best way to set a shell isolation bit up is to
have pea back into toucing the back of the cap (going tword you
and away from them). And have the shot glass/cup ect placed
over cap but have the back edge of it touching the cap. So now
when you place your finger on top of it and slide it forward the
pea has less space to travel and less plastic/glass mass to
liftvery clean and not as much hop
The turn over 2B:
give them a break and have them point to 2 shells. In the
classic gip slide them forward. Instead of allowing the pea to go
between the thumb and index, allow it to be pinched between
thering and middle. The SECOND this happens, tip the shells up
and over (end for end) and slide hands back. Or you can allow
the pea to slide out between those 2 fingers, however as you turn
shells over allow the pea to ride around the fingers so they can

be pinched by the same fingers but on the underside of hand


(So in a fashon they roll around from the back of the ring and
middle to the front) this gives the perfect illusion that both sides
of your hand are empty. Now after the show go to pick up the
only other shell left (this shell should be one you rarely moved
and when moved moved VERY cleanly so as to make ppl think
there is no way the pea could be there) , deposit the pea directly
behind AS you pick the shell up and bring TWORDS you, after
a pause SET IT BACK DOWN on top of pea. This helps create
a false memory that you picked shell directly up.
Wholy 3 pea:
In this demo you show that there are 3 peas (can be used with a
4 shell pea game where there are 3 peas and 1 empty shell, they
have to find a shell with a pea) you start this by loading a second
pea in some shell. Depending on the routine (4 shell/guess ones
with a pea or 4 shell/find the empty or 4 shell/find 3 peas and
leave the empty or 4 shells/find 2 peas or simply a kicker) you
do a fast series ofpull reveals: pulling the shell back as you load
a pea, reavealing it and immediately pushing the shell forward
and stealing the pea. This does a few things; it allows you to
create a retention illusion of you simply showing 3 peas and
disguising the time lag between showing the peas and lifting the
shell ect. Also it creates an understanding that there is no way
you could load or steal anything that fast (or could you!?). to set
the hook up you start with the 2 peas described above and do a
psudo pull reveal (make the motions of the move but just reveal
the pea under shell). You then subtly let them see your hands are
empty as you SIDE LIFT the next ( pulling back and lifting up
from side)..this creates a variation but keeps in line with the
pattern of how you lift shells, so as to allow you to cleanly show
the first 2 shells but slowly lead them into being ok with the
shell pull. So now as you set this shell down you do steal the pea
and do a real pull reveal on the last shell. Let some by
play/shuffle plays happen and at some point steal the second

pea. Now to complete this gimmick you execute 3 pull reveals


but on the LAST shell you steal the pea. Between the beginning
phase and this it give the perfect illusion that there are always 3
peas in play.but when they go to check there are none

Dry erase ruse: with all of these minus the card variation you
must have the pea START in the marked one
a) Wear a dark shirt or have a black tie. Behind this tie you
have a sponge of dry erase ink. Now have the ink look
either like dirt or grease from street or have a busted
pen in your pocket to account for why black splotches
appear on the cap/cards
b) For use in 3 card: LIGHTLY spray cards with a gloss.
This will allow the dry erase to come off fast and clean.
This is used the same way the chaulk in the disk monte
is
c) For caps: you can accidently mark the front of one cap
as you turn it over (before the shuffle). This will keep
the specs attention on that one cap allowing for more
leeway with slights. Or you can accidently mark a cap
when you show the pea, then when you proceed to
shuffle you wipe that splot off and mark another.
This will allow you to be able to move the caps much
more slow as the people will think the cap is in one area
while in turn it is at the other end of the board (note this
can be used when you dont have a pea that automaticly
rolls out ie paper, bread, marbleto allow focus drawn
away from real cap. Also when you are using an item
that cant roll like a ring ect and on that note a good
rattle ruse is to use a hard pea and keep another one
finger palmed so when you move an empty you allow
the palemed one to hit against cap giving off a rattle)
also used for solid caps (bottom is solid with an image
on it to id the special onevery much like disk monte)

d) You can also have a cap perminantly marked in a small


way which specs are able to see..this is done at the
beginning and make sure they see one cap is identifiable
from the rest. You have the bet triple if they can tell
where the cap is when you shuffle behind your
forearm.you simply rub off the marking on cap they
saw.and turn around/mark an empty.
e) You can also have one marked, shuffle the marked one
and only one other not marked one. As you pick up the
extra cap, stamp that and bring that into mix (rub off
orig marked cap) hide view for a split second.in this
split sec make sure they see you DO NOT DO
ANYTHING TO MIX CAPSwhat this means is
you want them to see the marked cap which accidently
flashed pea (and as you bring in lone cap from side that
one gets marked) and you just slid another cap in to
throw them off and thats it. It it important that they see
pea under marked cap and then you do not mix them or
shuffle them other than shift them a bit to make way for
the other cap. This will give a super clean illusion that
they see the pea under a marked cap and you just
brought another in for throw off and immediately they
get to choose.
f) You can also use this for a spinning wheel trick where
you place item under a cap which accidently gets
marked and you spin the wheel-plate the 3 caps sit on
and ppl have to guess what cap its under. For this
variation also use behind the cap load (as you pick cap
up load object onto the space cap was just occupying.
Also the ring finger steal (as you set cap on object, tilt it
forward and use tip of ring finger to swipe it out and
hold against palm
g) Or you can accidently mark an empty cap (they now
think the marked one is empty)

h) You can use these for shifting them in such a way they
see you are not stealing the pea. But in a momentary
loss of vision behind hand you rub off the mark on one
and turn other marked cap around to expose it to their
field of view

A) The exposed tail hook: when using a paper ball a small


piece sticks out and lures the people to the right
(wrong!!) shell. Similar to the bent corner monte hook.
1-simply have a duplicate piece of the corner (when
you roll the paper allow for a small unrolled/tail to be
exposed). This is secretly attached to the
shell,cap,thimble by saliva (ONLY for hooks where
you only need a tail exposed the whole time ) you
can attach during the moving of shell backward or
more accurately when you are talking to crowd and
are absently mindedly playing with shells. Or with
contact cement (a small dot on paper and another on
the INNER edge of shell) this allows for two things:
one is a very secure connect and two it allows the tail
to be pushed in and out of shell via thumb at will.
Note that you can also have a tail with taky tape and
stick it to the back of a shell at anytime during a
push.
2- the first variation is immediate tail expose: have
ball on table and make SURE they can see the tail.
As they look at it stick tail to shell, BUT hold the
shell in a way that the tail is hidden behind thumb
and AS you put shell down turn it fast so the tail is
exposed now. This seems to them you set the shell
down on the tail. Or you can set it down on ball and
hide tail with thumb for a few moves and expose it 1

move after you take pea out OR after you load into
another shell.
-3- the next variation is the switch during: you place
ball under one shell and keep tail hidden (note tail is
attached to another shell). Do a few moves and 1accidently over expose you placing ball under
another shell (really you dont, you simply expose
tail) 2- a few moves in allow the tail to expose. So in
effect it looks like an honest accident (you were
moving shells and a piece of ball got caught out).
4- the next variation is the end flash/flag: you dont
expose tail until the end or 2nd to last move and you
just allow it to flash for a second and allow your
thumb to steal it off under cover of other hand
(giving them a flash) or last 2 moves the tail comes
out of an empty shell or a small ammnt of tail sticks
out until you lightly push all shells in alignment.
---5- last variation is the same shell switch: this is
used to convince people that the ball is still in the
original shell.
So in variation: you have the original housing shell
to have the tail or another shell to the L or R to have
tail. (either to have someone think pea is under orig
shell or play on their overconfidence that they
know you switched it to another shell)a tail that
flashes at various times, one that always sticks out,
one that sticks out tword the end. These are used to
convince people that the ball is still in the orig shell
OR that is occupying another.
Shell game hook tips cont:

------expose pea, then load another under another


shell or expose pea after another is loaded. You load
before expose, or expose and steal then load under
another.
1- accidently expose pea (by tipping shell
momentarily) or (do a small semi-circle with shell
allowing the pea to ride the brim)

2- Steal pea by:


---loading a second pea just prior to the
expose and immediately after the expose
you steal the pea.
---you can lift cap off pea to flash and
cover with another shell during the
process of the mix for a nice flourish
---the thumb roll can be used as a hook
flourish: thumb roll the pea out the back
as you push shell forward as you lift it to
flash then pull back to load or you can use
it for the 2 pea system to show a shell
empty as you pull back or load another
completely diff shell AS the other hand
pulls back and loads. Or during the corse
of the shuffle you lift shell and expose
pea, put another shell on pea and draw
back in a fast execution. This give an
visual illusion as well as a flourish. Note
you can use to show a shell empty as you:
tip cap AFTER the steal. Or you can steal
pea (or keep another pea on hold) as you

turn a shell over to show empty using the


other hand to show the hot shell has a pea.
Use one shell to turn over the flipped
shell, then place flipped shell over the
visable pea draw back to steal hot pea AS
you load the previously shown empty
flipped shell or for one pea system you
show hot shell w pea, as you flip another
shell (or flash hot pea and use that shell to
flip another). (you are simutaniously
stealing the hot pea as you flip the turned
over shell to the left) draw back the
flipped shell to load. Or you accidently tip
a shell flip it and draw back to load a
second pea as you flash the hot pea and
then drop shell and push forward to load.
Or you can lift cap show pea, place cap
aside,a, flip another over completely (kip
pea with yet another shell to the upturned
or lifted one if you wish) take the
upturned cap and flip over on peapush to
side then flash (steal immediately after
flash.
Variations:
1 (the 2 pea system with the turning over
of a shell)
2 (1 pea system with the turning over of
shell)
---during the shuffle you can: lift a shell
and spin it as you place it down
Or you can flip a shell and leave it turned
until you a) flash pea under hot shell/steal
then load the empty/overturned or you
can flip shell and leave it turned untill

another shell kips it over or you can slide


shell allowing pea to lift shell and keep it
up to show it, then bump it with another
shell to set it down. Or you can thumb
steal as you shift forward and tip to flash
AS you show with other hand a shell to
the left empty and load the pea under that
(or you just show 2 empty and re-load the
thumb pea as you draw that same shell
back again)
or tip it over and flash pea under another
shell as you steal, then take the 3rd shell to
tip the overturned one over and load
---you can use thumb roll as a hold out
until after they choose a shell
----after expose and steal, you seem to
realize you may have slipped and as you
seem to gather yourself by straighting
the OTHER two shells (lead 2nd pea) now
ask what shell is hot, steal it and have
THEM turn over the right one. Or you
load a shell before expose, then expose.
Dont steal out UNTILL they pick it or
you catch yourself and quickly manip the
other 2 shells as if you think you know
which one its under and are franticly
trying to manip them. But this from the
specs view is such that you exposed the
pea and accidently lost which shell it was
under and they know where it is.

---keep pea out UNTILL they point to a

seeming a little confused.
---during the expose seem to not be
paying attention to what you are doing.
This gives authenticity to the fact you just
exposed pea.
----after expose pretend to catch yourself
and manipulate other 2 shells fast in a
startle as if to correct your ignorance.
During this time the exposed pea is put
under one of the other shells or you
simply steal the pea out after you load
the other shell. Or you can steal the pea
after flash and load under one of the
shells you straighten.

To execute the finger tunnel (allowing the


ball to roll out while seemingly having
your hands wide open:
1- For a cap : allow ball to roll out and
stay DIRECTLY BEHIND CAP then
place pointer on cap (with middle
finger bent at the 2nd joint). Push cap
forward and allow the pea to ride the
index into the crotch of the middle
finger

2- For a shell with the back dip: you press


on the middle with tip of middle finger
and push with pressure
down.forward.
3- Note that by moving a shell back fast
at an angle and then push it forward
very fast as you stealit creates a sort
of retention of vision in the sense that
they see the pea and the movement of
placing the shell back is not enough to
allow the pea to exit
4- To be able to turn over the hot shell:
slide forward (allowing the pea to get
clipped between pinky) AS you turn
over.

Thumb ride: you push shell forward and


to the right a bit allowing the pea to ride
under thumb. You can allow pea to exit
under thumb and ride down the length of
thumb to wrist or allow pea to ride thumb
as you push cap forward, but as you draw
hand back allow it to move back to thumb
so as to load another shell. When the pea
is under lower joint of thumb = allow the
cap to tip up a bit exposing the underside,
then
Or you can allow pea to go along thumb
as above as you accidently lift and drop
the cap haphazardly thusly exposing the
emptiness under, re-load after.

Thumb ride 2 routine: push hot shell


forward and allow pea to slip out and
under thumb. Bring hand back to the right
(keeping pressure on pea) and grip board
between thumb and index finger and
allow yourself to hold board with that
hand (perfect set up to take heat off pea
thumb-naturaly if you are going to hold a
board you shift hand back and hold it by
the thumb uptop and index below.) next
to load the pea under another shell you
are going to do the wrist ride and flash
subtlety: this is to reach across the board
or surface with the pea hand allowing the
pea to roll down the length of wrist. You
do this as you subtly but sharply lift your
hand off the board (keeping wrist down to
keep pea hidden) and grip the shell to be
loaded and load pea as you draw your
hand back across the board. The lifting of
the hand showing nothing as well as the
fact that you reached across the whole
board without a pea rolling out give a
great illusion to the fact the pea was realy
not under the hot shell.
Rim ride 2: as you circle the cap from left
to right in the semi circle of a rim ride
flash, expose pea at the left and as you
come around capture the pea under cap
and continue to complete a whole circle
(stealing pea) immediately draw back but
DO NOT LOAD THE PEA. This gives
the illusion that you actuly AND visualy
loaded the pea back.

The L slide load: how to load a pea by


moving forward, you either move shell
forward and to the right and allow pea to
slip in as you move the cap to the right (at
the edge of cap not the bottom part as you
would normaly load). Or slide and steal,
stop and load pea behind cap as you (you
as you lift cap use middle finger to push it
under) (or after you make a big motion by
pushing cap forward, make a slight pull
back as if to straghten the caps)
A good hook with pea = accidental black
hair or fuzz that gets onto ball. As you put
pea under shell
Tip flourishes: lift cap off pea and place
another on top during the corse of the
gamethis looks flashy and creates a sort
of retention of vision as you now steal the
pea (they think that you would never steal
the pea after you just shown it and they
think that the flourish was a marker of
sorts that you are going to start another
set which would have to include the pea
in that cap)

Monty tips:
1---for the turnover you should NOT line
up the cards (one on top of the other)
before you turn. You SHOULD close in
with the top card while keeping them

aligned. But at the last second when you


go to actually grip the bottom card,
slightly turn the top card to the right a bit
AS you pick up and turn/switch. This
allows for a much much faster turn over
(b/c it offers better and thus faster
gripping) also it accounts for the slight
angle your hand would be in when
turning the card over. If you notice during
the regular turn over you have to slightly
turn your hand so to align the cardsthis
is not natural look and takes more time
Turnover hype: this is to be done while
doing a flourish whilst shuffling. (making
sure you have 2 cards in your right
hand.one being the hot card). You turn
over or accidently drop hot card in
middle AS you spin-flash or turn over the
left hand card allow your right hand card
to turn over the hot card (the right hand
grips this card between the thumb and
ring finger)as you complete the turn
regrip the hot card by gripping it with
your thumb and index as you now drop
the other card. To the aud it looks as if
you simply turned over the card.
2---turn over flourishes: these are
excicuted to give a slightly showy
appearance as you mix the cards also
allows for the flash of the money card.
Note to make your own up rem these
building blocks: you have one hand
flashing as another tosses, or one hand

turns over a card as the other hand


flashes, or one hand does one thing and
then lets the other hand do something.
Note that hands alternate what they do
(toss, turn over or flash). Also the hot
card should bounce between hands as you
do flourishes AND the switch should be
done immediately after a flourish and
NOT until you are done with a flourish
set.
1a-r hand tosses hot card to center
(while the same hand has another
card.as if doing a hype). In one
movement the thumb picks up hot and
turns it over as the same hand turns over
flashing the other card and in this motion
the thumb continues to turn the card over
(so the hot card is flashed and turned back
over in one motion. While this happens
the left hand spin flashes card and tosses
to right
2aright tosses card left, left picks up
card as it spin flashes the right hand (with
the extra card) turns over the hot card,
and tosses the remaining card left, the left
flash continues to turn back over and side
turns the hot over
1b you can flash the left in a spin move as
the right flashes hot and turns it over on
table. As the left flash turns back around
it comes down and turns the hot card over
the right hand picks it up again and does a

reverse turn over (switching card as you


turn them face down)

The lowdown laydown--- you have the 3
cards set up in hand as if your doing a
triple hype. Now you turn hand over and
try to make it look like you are just
dropping the cards off one by one in a
sharp manner from left to right. Realy you
hype the middle to the left and simply set
the other 2 down side by side in the same
manner
The ball game: (This is a confidence game played
with cups and a hard or rubber ball):
Idea = 1 cup and 2 balls (Wht and green), ppl have to
bet on either what color is in cup/hand/pocket or if
there is a ball in cup. But you realy have (1 wht 1
magnetic green and 1 regular green and one large
load of a white and green mix)
