13.1 Safety procedure

In any construction site it is very important the safety for the workers. When the works
are carried out it can be occurred accidents to any person at any time. So precautions have to be
taken to prevent those accidents.
Every construction site, following persons must be taken responsibility about safety of site.

Safety officer
He has very big responsibility for safety of site. In empire city site, safety officer has 10
years experience. He was taken some special activities for safety.
Tower Crain cable check by district inspection engineer
Trained the 4 tower Crain operators & 6 helpers by him.
Fix the hone for tower Crain.
He gave the instruction for tower Crain operators, cable only use for transport
materials. When transport workers use the chain.
Order the 4 full body harnesses by him.
He gave instructions to change the earth clips of arc welding & to fix the safe valve for
gas welding.
He gave instructions to supervisors to keep the site cleanly & build the safety fence in
dangers area.
He gave instructions to electricians to fix the alarm after two stories & fix the every
instruments correct method.

Medical Officer
He should be already to give first aid for some injuries of workers. He has medical office
in empire city site.

Security Officers

Not to allow any unnecessary persons to enter the premises.

To get better knowledge about safety, safety meeting was conducted for the

workers at the beginning of the every month to educate them safety rules & instructions.

Monthly safety records were maintained to detect the safety level of the site.

Water, sand & CO2 get ready to fire protection.

To remember about safety should be hang SAFETY FIRST boards.

13.2 Safety rules & regulations for workers

Put on helmets in site.

Provide the raincoats.

Safety belts for those who are working on scaffolding.

Keep the site clean & tidy.

Do not work at height if you are feeling weak & dizzy.

Use the grouses & gum boots for hard works.

Welders & grinders should be use goggles.

Mask to avoid dust grinders.

Do not throw debris down from heights.

Damaged tools should be kept away from working.

Correct tools should be used for specified work.

Tools should be stored after working.

13.3 Industrial Safety

An accident is unexpected, unplanned assurance. In construction sites safety is very important
and working place must be very safety one. Safety first must be always remembered.
The cause of an accident is that, someone somewhere some one has a mistake maid.
Generally accident can be caused due to:

Take of discipline and training.

Poor communication.

Carelessness and ignorance.

Destruction and lack of concentration.

Failure to ware of use the correct safety equipment.

Incorrect handing and lifting of heavy subjects.

Misuse of power tools, plants, machinery.

Untidy and badly organized sites.

The areas where accident may take place are,

1. Electricity supply areas

2. Work with machinery.
3. Work with heavy items.
4. Work with unskilled labors.

In addition to this all laborers have a better knowledge about the safety. Therefore we have to
give them some details about safety when working with tools, machines and heavy items.
If there are dangerous places at site like openings in the slabs, must be properly covered
with a fens or warning signals must be provided. Waist materials and off cuts should be
collected to a certain place where laborers are not working. Waste materials must never
thrown everywhere at site. Most accident takes place because of carelessness of laboures
and lack of knowledge of them. By keeping the site clean and choosing the safe way to
do some things we can reduce accidents. If we see some things unsafe it should be taken
necessary immediate safe action. There should be a first aide box at the site to give first
aids if any accident takes place.
