Synthesis:
Buot,Mariella P.
On August 7, 1997 after the Monetary Board of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas approved its thrift
bank licensed, the City state saving bank or CSB started its banking operation. The publicity of the
bank was formally listed in the Philippines Stock exchange on January 2, 2002. CSB also expand its
branches nationwide. It has a network of 28 branches; 21 in Metro Manila and 7 provinicial areas
specifically in Meycauayan, Baliuag, Plaridel, Dagupan, Batangas City, Cebu and Urdaneta. They
developed their products and enhanced their services. In November 2016, The CSB started to accept
dollar and other foreign currency denominated deposits and manages funds, securities and properties.
CSB wants to be competitive and they believe that customer service is the key. This is the reason why
they want to improve their transaction processing. Recently, the City state savings bank Inc. signed a
contract with Micro phase Corporation together with the Oracle Philippines. They will use this two to
apply the Finacle core banking system where in, their service will be more comprehensive and
integrated. The bank will easily address all the core needs of the bank. They can easily configure the
modules and components and also to store million ATM/banking system transaction nationwide.
The CSB believes that through this partnership with the Micro Phase and Oracle Philippines they can
level up their effort in giving a satisfying services and streamline operation. Liked what Atty. Rey D.
Delfin, the bank president and director, they expect more that they will be able to provide a faster and
more efficient service for the customers of CSB.
In conclusion to this, we can say that Oracle is very useful for the businesses. We can easily improve
the transaction services and business processes through this software. Today, we are already invaded by
the power of technology. Many successful companies are implementing technology such as the using of
database to retrieve, collect and store the information of their customers. We use technology to
maximize the business productivity. Business productivity ensures that the tools will overcome the
challenges of executing on strategy every day and prospering in today's economic times.
