Tulsa, OK - Pryor Rendering, (www.PryorRendering.com) a new musical based on the novel of the same name by Tulsa born
author Gary Reed, will play for four performances only at The Tulsa Performing Arts Center from October 13 16.
Pryor Rendering is a new musical set in 1960s rural America. Two teens, Charlie and Dewar, fall deeply in love and struggle to fit
in. Born on the pool table of his grandfathers bar, Charlie is scorned by his mother, idolizes his absent father and is coddled by his
grandpas stable of floozies. Pryor Rendering is the story of faith, family, love and the moment you discover you are not alone. This
unique Oklahoma-inspired production unites award-winning talent from across the state and beyond.
Pryor Rendering is a co-production between American Theatre Company (Tulsa), The Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre
(CityRep) and Churchman, Schiro and Producer Sue Conover Marinello, in Association with the Weitzenhoffer School of Musical
Theatre at the University of Oklahoma. Churchman is an Assistant Professor at the Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre at the
University of Oklahoma.
Pryor Rendering has been a project in the making for over four years with readings which have taken place in Norman, Oklahoma,
Tulsa, Oklahoma City, San Francisco and New York City. Talent from Tulsa, OKC, NYC and beyond have helped to shape Pryor
Rendering throughout its development.
Directed by Stephen Nachamie (Associate Director for the 2016 Tony award-winner She Loves Me and world premieres Mr.
Confidential and Foreverman and 2016 Helen Hayes Award Winner for A Chorus Line), Pryor Rendering has music and lyrics by Frank
G. Schiro, and a libretto by Shawn Churchman.
Pryor Rendering features Broadway veterans Stacey Logan (Sweet Smell of Success, Crazy ForYou), Terry Runnels (Zorba), Julie
Johnson (Harold Princes Candide), and Rachel Coloff (Urinetown).
Among them, the cast and creative team have been a part of more than 13 Broadway productions.
Two young actors, Tanner Rose and Mark Jammal (both from the Weitzenhoffer Musical Theatre Program at the University of
Oklahoma), have been a part of the development of this new musical since last year. They will portray Charlie Hope and his first love,
Dewar.

Randolph, and Jackie Smola with Garrett Langley as the young Charlie Hope.

City Repertory Theatre (CityRep), with Founding Artistic Director Donald Jordan, along with Marinello, launched the world premiere
production at the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall on October 1. The production has one more weekend in in Oklahoma City from
Friday, October 7 through Sunday, October 9, before moving to Tulsa. The production will run four performances only in Tulsa
Performing Arts Centers John H. Williams Theatre from Thursday, October 13 through Sunday, October 16.

community for over 45 years and has been awarded numerous theatrical and civic leadership awards. including this past seasons
TATE awards. ATC is a proud member of Theatre Communications Group, the national organization for nonprofit theaters. Oklahoma
City Repertory Theatre (City Rep) is also a member of TCG and has produced 15 seasons of professional and award-winning
productions.
This is an extraordinary, and uniquely Oklahoman, experience, said producer Sue Conover Marinello. It is unprecedented to have a
new Oklahoma-inspired musical, based on a novel written by a Tulsa-born author, with a libretto written by an Oklahoman, that has been
developed by Oklahoma talent, premiere in two major Oklahoma cities. The support from community organizations like Oklahomans for
Equality, Freedom Oklahoma, Other Options, Openarms Youth Project, OKC Pride, and many PFLAG chapters has been exciting and
inspiring.
We have been working on this show for several years and are thrilled to finally see a full production, Marinello added. We hope
everyone in Tulsa will come experience the music and joy that is Pryor Rendering.
Opening Night with American Theatre Company in Tulsa is Thursday, October 13, 8:00PM. Performances will also be held Friday,
October 14, 8:00PM; Saturday, October 15, 8:00PM; Sunday, October 16, 2:00PM (Talk Back Event). ATC performances in Tulsa will be
