b) Physical and Chemical Composition

MATERIALS:
Binder:
PolyCom Stabilisation Aid is a synthetics granular Anionic Polyacrylamide (polymer) soil
stabiliser which comes in highly concentrated 2kg containers for ease of handling. This
formulation is soluble, and can either be applied dry (concentrated powder) or wet (diluted with
water) to create a co-polymer chain. Either application process encapsulates the soil particles
with a thin film of polymer and upon drying bonds and provides a less permeable soil matrix.
Figure 1 below illustrates an acrylamide copolymer coating soil particles to induce bonding and
low
permeability to provide the nominated application benefits.

Packaging :
Packaging PolyCom and DustChek comes in 2kg plastic recyclable containers packaged in
easy handling cardboard boxes of six palletised with 216 containers which will treat 15km of
standard 7m road width at 100mm thick.

Figure 2 above is an example of a palletised shipment .

A shipment of this size is economically air freighted.
