1. Teacher explains about character as one


of the elements of the short story that
would help students to understand the
story better.
2. Teacher asks questions such as;

Who are the main characters in


the story?
Who are the minor characters in
the story?
3. Teacher also explains the characteristics
of each the character.
Rationale : To enable students to grasp the topic
of the lesson and give them a rough idea about
each characters in the short story.

1. Teacher asks the students to sit in pairs.


2. Teacher distributes handouts for students
to do matching of the characters in the
short story with their respective correct
characteristics.
3. Teacher asks students discuss in pairs
and match the characters with the correct
characteristics.
4. Teacher discusses the answer together

what is being taught.

1. Teacher asks students to choose one


character that they like the most from the
story and write a long respond essay
about the character and give reason
related to the short story.
2. Teacher collect students work.
Rationale : To enable students to express their
creativity in expressing their thoughts in their
writing.
