BTS3612 Maintenance Modes

Remote maintenance
Run the Airbridge MML Client to query the running state of the
BTS3612 board. Measure the performance of the carrier, query the
relevant alarms and handle them accordingly.
Local maintenance
Use the cross-over cable to connect the portable computer with the
RJ45 interface of the BCKM board. Log in the system via Telnet. Query
the running state and relevant alarms of the BTS3612 and handle them
accordingly.
Note:
IP address: 172.16.16.16
log-on name: system,
log-on password: system
Methods for Setting BTS3612 Local Maintenance
Use cross-over network cables to connect the portable computer with the
ETH interface of the BCKM board; and set the IP address of the portable
computer and that of the BCKM board within the same network section with
the mask of 255.255.0.0.
Log in to the BTS3612 through telnet 172.16.16.16 and use system as either
the user name and password to enter the system.
The Resource Distribution Board (BRDM) is logically located between Transceiver
Module (BTRM) and Channel Processing Module (BCPM). It provides the I&Q
modulation. BRDM also supports the daisy chain within the cascaded channel processing
boards.
BCIM
In reverse direction, BCIM receives O&M command from BCKM and traffic data
from BCPM, and transmit ATM cells on the multiple E1 links via IMA.
In forward direction, it receives ATM cells, which are distributed on the multiple
E1 links from BSC, multiplexes them into a single ATM cell flow with IMA
techniques and finally sends them to the corresponding processing boards over the
backplane bus.
Each BCIM provides 8 E1 links, which can support at most 4 IMA link sets.
BCPM
BCPM is the service processing board. It processes various service data of forward and
reverse channels including coding and decoding of baseband signals and primary
modulation and demodulation of the baseband.

It also processes the high-layer control signals.

BTRM
BTRM accomplishes modulation/demodulation of baseband signals,
analog/digital and digital/analog (AD/DA) conversion, digital up/down
conversion and radio up/down conversion.
BHPA
BHPA is used to amplify the RF modulated signals received from BTRM.
CDU
Combines two carrier signals into one, these two signals are received from the
two BHPAs.
Provides isolation and filtering for the received and transmitted signals.
Filters the transmitted signals in order to suppress BTS spurious emissions.
Filters the received signals in order to suppress the out-band interference.
Abis interface
Use the IMA technique and support the E1 interface (32E1s)
Support the E1 mode in SDH
Support ATM over SDH (compatible interface)
BTS3612 Data Configuration Modes
Local data configuration via Telnet Console
Remote data configuration
Download configuration files by FTP
Configure data via Airbridge MML Client
Local Data Configuration Mode
Directly connect the laptop to the local maintenance network interface of BCKM
board with cross-over network cable; input BTS3612 data configuration script via
Telnet Console.
Also TELNET command can be used at BAM via the remote O&M IP address.
Download configuration files by FTP
Use FTP Modethe IP address can be BCKM board local network interface
addressalso can be O&M IP address distributed by BAM.
Configuration file can be written to flash memory of BCKM via the Mode.
Configure data via Airbridge MML Client
The configuration commands can be executed via Airbridge MML Client on
BAM or client
Batch execute BTS3612 scripts in the file
Execute commands one by one
