COURSE SYNOPSIS :
This course discusses about the organizational aspects and architecture of
computers encompassing the history of computer system development,
computer system architecture, bus system, internal and external memory,
input/output; control unit operations; CPU structure and function; and
operating systems. PC assembly, configurations, and maintenance are
also covered.
RATIONAL OF THE COURSE:
The course focuses on basic knowledge and skills of Information
Technology or Computer Science.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
At the end of this course, student should be able to:
Describe the architecture of computer system and solve the
computing problems via bits, data types, operations and digital
logic structure correctly (C2, BKMM3);
Describe the bus system, internal and external memory,
input/output, CPU structure, control unit operation and operating
system correctly (C2, BKMM3);
Express (assemble, configure, maintain and troubleshoot) PCs and
other peripherals in group correctly (P5, A3, PBPM1, KKBP3);
Analyze the latest development in computer technology through
group project(C4, P4, KOM4, KKBP4).
TRANSFERABLE SKILLS:
Provide knowledge, understanding and skill concerning of computer
system for solving problem in hardware and software computer.
