Participants and Setting

This was a part of a larger study in which 85 Iranian intermediate students were selected.
Students aged 16 to 20 speak Persian as their mother tongue. In order to make the participants
homogenized, the Michigan Test of English Language Proficiency was administered and students
ranked in intermediate level according to ACTFL proficiency guidelines.
Conclusion
After having referred to the previous studies, no specific result was found on the role of visuals in
listening tests. There is a need for further research on the role of visuals on task takers
performance.
