Assistant Professor should have FIVE [05] years of teaching experience as full-time teacher in a
recognized university/college, who is appointed as per the guidelines of UGC in force, and Associate
Professor (CAS) shall be deemed as recognized for guiding Ph.D. students, in their respective subjects,
provided that
o He/she holds a Doctoral Degree;
o He/she must have the API score equal to 300 or more considering all components of API under
Category-III: Research & Academic Contributions, without capping; of which minimum 90 API
should be from Research Papers published in Peer reviewed ISSN Journals. The scrutiny of API
shall be carried out by the university level duly constituted committee, scrutinizing the proposals
for teaching appointment in the university.
The Associate Professor (CAS) who is appointed as per the guidelines from UGC in force, holding a
Doctoral Degree and Assistant Professor holding a Doctoral Degree who is desirous for applying as a
guide for the research degree (who is having API score less than 300), should be having minimum 90 API
from Research Papers published in PEER reviewed ISSN Journals as First or Corresponding Author
(excluding Publications in Conference Proceedings & Edited books). Such candidate shall have to apply
for obtaining recognition as guide for the research degree, in their respective subjects, in the prescribed
format, through proper channel.
