Camp, T.R., (1974). Water & its impurities.

Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania:
Dowden, Hutchingson & Ross, Inc.
Dr, Camps long and productive career included consulting practice as
a sanitary engineer, many years as a professor of sanitary engineering
at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a lifelong interest in
research and the development of understanding in water and
wastewater treatment, and the publication of many papers of classical
stature in the hydraulics of grit removal, sedimentation, filtration and
mixing. He founded what has become the largest international
consulting firm devoted strictly to environmental engineering.
This book provides various perspectives on (1) uses of water, (2) water
quality, (3) remedial measures, (4) physical properties of pure water
such as molecular structure, density and elasticity, vapor pressure and
relative humidity, latent heat fusion and surface tension, (5) physical
properties of impure water such as suspended particles, colloidal
particles, dissolve impurities and radioactive impurities, (6) dissolved
gases, (7) dissolved minerals, and (8) organic impurities. Facts about
the aforementioned topics are found in the book, which our group can
use in providing reliable information as we go on through our study
most especially on the bacteriological and 13-parameter test that will
be performed to analyze the different water samples.
