Introduction
Publishing is the dissemination of literature, music, or information the
activity or making information available in the public. In some cases, authors
may be their own publishers, meaning originators and developers of content also
provide media to deliver and display the content for the same. Also, the word
publisher can refer to the individual who leads a publishing company or an
imprint or to a person who owns/heads a magazine. With the advent of digital
information systems and the Internet, the scope of publishing has expanded to
include electronic resources such as the electronic versions of books and
periodicals, as well as micropublishing, websites, blogs, video game, publishers,

The universities and colleges in the Philippines, have a common
publication and the researchers must have to know the events in the entire
school. So that the students can easily to get some updates. Every college in the
university has its own publication. The student publications provide the
students with an avenue for expression through the power of the pen where they
confront issues within their department, the university, and the community.
Campus journalists bind themselves into a fellowship for a camaraderie, mutual

1.1. Project Context
The project entitled Online School Publication Web-based Information
System for St. Anthonys College, is a website and android application
development project focused on the development of a website and android
application that will improve the dessimation or distribution of the published
magazines of St. Anthonys College school publication. This project was started
last July 2016 and is expected to be finished until the end of September 2016.
This project is intended to help the school publication staffs of St.
Anthonys College in the dessimination of the published magazines online. It is
believed that with the help of a website and an android application development
based on the needs of the students, the dessimination of the published
magazines will be easier and effective. Through this project, the reseachers aims
to eliminate the long wait of the students of receiving the published magazines.

1.2. Purpose and Description

This project entitled Online School Publication Web-based Information
System for St. Anthonys College is intended to improve the dissemination of the
published magazines online to aid the long wait of the students of receiving the
published magazines. The long wait of the students in receiving the published
magazines is what the researchers wish to resolve through the development of
this project.

The Publication Staffs. This project will aid the researchers in the issues
of the long wait of dessimination of the published magazines and also there are

regarding the magazines that are not distributed to the students due to some
reasons. The publication staff will be involved in providing the researchers with
their magazines that would be uploaded.
The students. The students will be involved in this project because they will be
the one who will be accessing the online publication of the school.

1.3. Objectives
General: The researchers of this project aims to provide a website and android
application that will
for the students of St. Anthonys College, San Jose, Antique.

Specific:
(a) The students will be updated of the published magazines online.
(b) To develop an effective way of disseminating magazines to the students
of St. Anthony's College
(c) Easy and handy for the students to read
1.4. Scope and Limitations
This project entitled Online School Publication Web-based Information
System for St. Anthonys College is focused on the design, development and
implementation of Online Publication that will be implemeted on St. Anthonys
College.
Only the process of uploading, updating and viewing is covered in this
project. Downloading of published magazines are not part of this project.
