GrabTutor is an application designed and operated by LightUp Incorporated.
The application is created in order to help to university students and
professors facilitate peer or professor-student tutorials. Currently, the
application is only available for University of Santo Tomas.

GrabTutor is a mobile application that promotes collaboration within
the university in achieving higher remarks in the academic performance of
students as a whole.

University students and the professors are the main users of this application.
The App industry is booming nowadays and it is projected to be in demand
as technology advances. Thus, it is necessary to maximize it in more aspects
of the society. LightUp is using the apps in promoting collaboration within the
university which is a community of students and professors. Foreseeing the
growth of this new App, GrabTutor, can be of long term because of the ease
it can help the students in looking for tutor.
The legal form of ownership of this company is a partnership where each
person contributes money, property, labor or skill, and expects to share in
the profits and losses of the business.
IV. Products and Services
GrabTutor is the first mobile application in the Philippines that is university
based offering students-to-student and student-to-professor connections for
tutoring services. Figure 1 will show the App Icon of GrabTutor.
GrabTutor is like a portal for students to look for
available tutors, either student or professor within the
university which are registered in the GrabTutor App. It
is just easy. Professor who want to be part can be
register directly as tutor and post their area of
specializations by just ticking the subjects in the list.
On the other hand, students who are academically competent and want to
have extra income can be registered as tutor after an assessment made by
GrabTutor to ensure their credibility and competence. The price of their
tutoring services shall be of their choice. While students who are having a
hard time in academics just have to input their student number and other
personal information to ensure that he/she is a bonafide student of the

university. Payment method as of now is through credit cards and PayMaya.

Once a student is registered as a tutee, he/she will have a record of all the
tutors he/she had and their personal assessment of him/her.
The place of tutoring is only limited within the vicinity of the
university. Location tracker is also a part of the app to ensure that
