SCOPE
The Scope of this Method Statement covers Epoxy Resin Floor Coating
System at Burj Vista (Plot 14- 17 Downtown) Project in accordance to
Project Specifications & Manufacturers recommendation.

PURPOSE
The purpose of this Method Statement is to describe the material,
equipment used, work procedures and associated Quality Assurance and
Quality Control Procedures for the Epoxy Resin Floor Coating System at
Burj Vista (Plot 14- 17 Downtown) Project.

Isam Kabbani Site Engineer will hold daily tool box talks for the
painting workers.

Isam Kabbani Site Engineer will ensure that all safety measures are
implemented as per the Contractors Safety Procedures.

Substrate Conditions:
Reinforced concrete slab sound & dry with properly finished
surface joints & edges. Concrete compressive strength should
be greater than 25N/mm2 with moisture content less than
5% (As per manufacturers recommendation)
7.2
Surface Preparation:
7.2.1 Prior to starting preparation, close the area to be prepared to
all traffic and other trades.
7.2.2 Run vacuum, shotblasting or light grinding machine onto the
concrete surface to achieve medium sand paper roughness
and open concrete surface pores.

7.3.7 The top coat should be cured for minimum 24 hours from
application and should be protected using polyethylene sheet,
prior to allowing foot traffic. Vehicle traffic should be
permitted only after 5 days from application.
