student space but not too much.
Equipment: Poly spots will be scattered in a circle-ish area where they will sit. The cones, and hoola
hoops will be laid out either on the black top or grass area where the activity will be held.

Instant Activity:
Hello class hope all is well. Is everyone
full of energy or what?! Before we get
started we are going to play a quick game
to get the blood pumping. Real quick we
are going to play red light, yellow light

stop, yellow light means walk and green
light means run. Ready, everyone line up
along the line hot dog style to begin.

Transition: Depending on the day and if

its hot students will have a minute or two
to get water to keep hydrated then once
done come back and sit on the poly spot
for further instructions.
Set Induction:
Okay class today we are going to work
on something a little different from the
last couple of weeks. Today we are going
to work on passing a birdie in badminton.
Thats right these little things right here
(show birdie) are called birdies, and this
is the racket. We are going to practice
how to pass the birdie with your partner,
but in order to do that we have to pay
attention to the COTS of the skills and
we also have to be careful that we dont
hit each other okay. With that being said
find a partner and wait for me to give you
a racket. DO NOT HIT each other with
the racket nor throw the racket
understood? After, I will pass again with
