RICS New Rules of Measurement

The Quantity Surveying profession at last has the opportunity to measure construction projects
from beginning to end using a single standardised rule book.
So what is it?
RICS is publishing, in stages, the New Rules of Measurement (NRM) over the next two years.
They will comprise three volumes:
Volume 1 - Order of cost estimating and elemental cost planning
Volume 2 - Procurement
Volume 3 - Whole Life Costing
The first volume has now been published and you can buy your copy from RICS Books. The online version is also available via isurv.

Volume 2 - Procurement - an alternative to SMM7
What are the benefits?
The RICS New Rules of Measurement means the industry has a document allowing more of a consistent approach to the measurement
of buildings from the beginning of a project right until the end, and beyond.
