USE OF COOKIES FISH BEAN TO INCREASE BASED LOCAL FOOD INTAKE AND

WEIGHT LESS NUTRITION CHILDREN IN THE CITY BENGKULU

ABSTRACT
Background : Toddlers is a group of malnutrition because at this time the election occurs certain
foods he liked, so often causing anxiety of parents of children under five in the case of nonfulfillment of nutrition for optimal growth . Survey monitoring the nutritional status ( PSG ) of
Bengkulu in 2014 than 2700 people are one hundred and eighty nine ( 189 ) of malnourished
children . Intervention is needed fishbean utilization of complementary feeding based on local
food to improve intake and body weight stunting in the city of Bengkulu .
Objective: To determine nutrient intake , body weight and the effect of complementary feeding
fishbean to weight gain stunting in the city of Bengkulu
Methods : The study was quasy experimental design with pre-test and post-test with control
group design . The samples were divided into two groups by giving breast milk for 40 days . The
sample selection is based on purposive sampling. One group received breast milk ( fish biscuit
bean ) and the other group received a local MP- ASI ( biscuit ) .Sampel are toddlers from poor
families suffering from malnutrition / poor , with the number 36 respondents for each group. The
statistical analysis used was paired sample t-test, indefendent t-test and chi square
Results: The average intake of nutrients stunting before the intervention program in the city of
Bengkulu, the achievement level of energy, protein, fat and karbohidratberdasarkan adequacy
rate toddlers recommended by 776.8 148.9 to energy, 33.9 11.95 for protein, 26.1 14.95 to
fat and 112.41 35.5 for carbohydrates. The average weight gain of research subjects with
complementary feeding intervention program for research Fishbean is 1:29 kg and 0.89 kg -rata
average in subjects with complementary feeding intervention Local. No difference in the average
energy and protein intake between the groups who received breast milk Fishbean and the group
receiving breast milk locally.
Conclusions and recommendations: There is a difference in the average nutrient intake and
changes in body weight between the groups who received breast milk Fishbean and the group
receiving breast milk locally. Need to increase the nutritional surveillance function and increase
the Posyandu in an attempt to capture and detect children who are malnourished in order not to
suffer from malnutrition.
