Two types of Sadhana exist:

ukla Paka, the waxing Moon, where the purpose is prosperity in this world and bringing the
Gaga down. This implies blessings in the form of family, children, wealth, health and happiness.
This is Deva Paka.
Ka Paka, the waning Moon, where the purpose is knowledge, spirituality and overcoming
failings, weaknesses and sins from past births. This take the Yamuna UP and gives great strength
and abilities for achievements. This is i Paka.
