MyStory:MyStory:WhenmyfamilyimmigratedtotheU.S.fromGhana,welivedinapredominantly
Black,lowincomeneighborhoodinNewJersey.Growingup,Iwitnessedfirsthandhowthelackof
resourcescanseverelylimitaccesstohealthcareservicesandleadtopsychologicaldistresswithin
lowersocioeconomiccommunities.Experiencingthesehealthdisparitiesandpersonallystruggling
withmentalhealthissueselicitedmypassiontopursuepublichealthandtoachievegreaterhealth
equityforall.BeingatRollins,Ivefeltcomfortableembracingmyintersectionalidentitiesasawoman
ofcolorandempoweredtospeakfreelyaboutmylivedexperiences.Listeningtothediversestories
ofmypeersandprofessors,IminspiredandmotivatedeverydaytoUPLIFTEVERYONEaround
me.Ivecometorealizethepowerofsupportsystems;thus,ImcommittedtobuildingaRollins
communitywithastrongsenseofTRIUMPHoverallobstaclesthatweencounteronourjourneyto
graduation.IfelectedRSGAPresident,Iwillcomprehensivelyassessthechallengesthatstudents
faceandseeklongterm,sustainable,inclusivesolutions.WithYOURVOTEandsupport,Iwilllisten,
learn,andleadourcommunitytoTHRIVEacademically,professionally,socially,andpsychologically.

freefemininehygieneproductsinitiativetoRSPHby
addingtwopilotlocationsinCNRandGCRtomeeta
needforthemajorityofRSPHstudents,75%ofwhich
arefemale.
AdvocateforaWellnessRoomatRollinswitha
massagechair,yogamats,andotheritemstopromote
positivementalhealth.
CollaboratewithEmorysOfficeofLGBTLifeand
Facilitiestocreatea2ndgenderneutralbathroomat
RSPH,tobelocatedinCNR.
2.IncreaseDiversity&InclusionInitiatives
Advocatefordeliciousvegan,glutenfree,vegetarian,
kosher,andnonalcoholicoptionsatallRSGAevents
toaccommodatethediverseneedsofRSPHstudents.
DevelopaRSGAprogramseriesincollaborationwith
studentorganizationstofacilitatediscussionandraise
awarenessofculturallyspecifichealthissues(e.g.
Asian,African,etc.)
EngageInternationalandExecutiveMPHstudents
morethroughtargetedandinclusiveprogramming.

facultyresearchprojectstohelpstudentseffortlessly
searchforopportunities.
4.UseEmoryResourcestoServeAllStudents,
RegardlessofSocioeconomicStatus
CollaboratewithRollinsOfficeofCareerDevelopment
andCareerDevelopmentAmbassadorstoadoptthe
Emory'sCareerCenterClothingClosetinitiativeand
provideprofessionalattiretoRSPHstudentsfor
careerfairs,interviews,andotherformalevents.
Advocatefordiscountvoucherstoaffordableretail
storesforstudentstopurchaseprofessionalattire.
5.ConnectRSPHStudentswithLargerEmory
Community
PartnerwithEmoryCollegetoincreaseRollins
studentengagementatWonderfulWednesdays.
