SUBJECT: LUCASVILLE MAN ARRESTED FOR GRAND THEFT AUTO
Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini announces that his office received a call on Wednesday October 19, 2016 from Minix Giovannis located at 21430 SR 73 West Portsmouth. The caller stated that he was the delivery driver and that somebody had stolen his car. Sheriff Marty V. Donini stated that Washington Township community policing Deputy Andy Drake responded to this location where a report was filed that included the vehicle being entered as stolen. Deputy Drake while leaving this location observed a vehicle matching the description of the stolen vehicle, Deputy Drake was able to get behind the vehicle and confirm that it was in fact the stolen vehicle. Deputy Drake activated his lights and made a stop on the vehicle and was able to detain the suspect without incident. The suspect was detained and later interviewed that result in his arrest. Arrested was Robert Henry age 23 of 429 A Crow Hollow Road Lucasville Ohio, Henry was charged with one count of Theft motor vehicle a felony of the 4th degree and is currently being held in the Scioto County Jail on a $20,000 bond. Sheriff Marty V. Donini stated that the quick recovery of vehicle and arrest of the suspect was a result of the quick actions of Deputy Andy Drake.
