Servant Leadership

In the broadest sense, servant leadership is about serving others. In economic parlance, it
is about leveraging assets to yield worthwhile change. Whether it is a small private
business or a large public entity, servant leadership is about transforming an organization
into a successful enterprise by inspiring people to excel.

The idea of servant leadership is opposite to the typical hierarchy where the employees
are serving their bosses. Instead, leaders serve their people.

All of them chose that they are IN FAVOR in the servant leadership. Because according
to them, it is a good way in leading the people. Servant leadership is all about
transforming an organization into a successful enterprise by inspiring people to excel.
Based on their answers, they are pointing themselves as a selfless manager. If ever they
would be the leader in their company, they will consider to think first about the matter of
their employees or customers before themselves.

According to a person that I asked about what and how servant leaders treat her members,
servant leaders educate the members of their team through their words and actions, and
they encourage their people to set aside self-serving behaviors in favor of serving others.
I also asked one of them, Why do they favored in servant leadership and how leader
becomes a selfless mentor to her/his employees or members?. Servant leaders know that
by helping and guiding the people who are working for them, they will help them learn
skills that will improve their performance, and as well as their professionalism.

They have a strong preference in favoring this kind of leadership. I realized how selfless
they are, that they will think first of others, and ofcourse one of the main reason is
because they want to help others despite of being the superior in their company, if ever.
They want to inspire others and improve their skills. According to them, not because they
serve their subbordinates, they will see them not as their boss, but as a leader that has the
characteristic of giving a hand on to others before their own sake.
