2.4
SubmissionRequirements
2.4.1 ProposalSubmission
Proposalsshallbesubmittedto:

Proposalsreceivedaftertheclosingtimewillbeconsidereddisqualifiedand
returnedunopenedtotheProponents.
ThetimeandefforttoprepareandpresenttheProposalissolelythe
responsibilityoftheProponent.Undernocircumstancesshallinsertnameof
Clientbeobligedtoreimbursesuchexpense.

MinimumQualifications
Proponentsandkeyteammembersmustberegisteredtopracticeinthe
provinceofAlbertaandhaveexperienceworkingonsimilarprojects.

Proposalsarenottoexceed30,8.5x11pagesinlengthandaretoaddressthe

EvaluationCriteria
Theproposalsandinterviewswillbeevaluatedonthefollowingbasis.Thesamecriteria
willbeappliedinassessingtheproposalandtheinterview.Proponentscoresafter
proposalsubmissionwillbeusedtoshortlistconsultantsforinterviews;proponent
scoresafterinterviewswillassessboththeproposalandtheinterviewandwillbeused
toselectthesuccessfulconsultant.

discretion,theClientmaychoosetoengagethesuccessfulproponenttoprovide
servicesonfuturephasesoftheproject.

SPECIALTYCONSULTANTS

trafficandtransportation,elevatorandbuildingcodeconsultants)willbeengaged
separatelybytheClient.TheArchitectwillcoordinatetheservicesoftheidentified
SpecialtyConsultantswithinFeeforBasicServices.

CONSTRUCTIONCOSTESTIMATING

ConstructioncostestimatingwillbeprovidedbyINSERTEITHERTHECOST
CONSULTANT,ORBYACONSTRUCTIONMANAGER.TheArchitectwillprovide
informationtosupporttheestimatingprocessandwillberesponsibletoworkwiththe
projectteamtoaligncurrentestimateswiththeClientsbudgetateachproject
milestone.
FEESTRUCTURE
TheClientsintentistocompensatetheArchitectinaccordancewiththeCAAandCEA
ScopeofServicesDocument,Parts1,2,and3:BasicServicesforBuildingProjectsin
Alberta,DeterminingFeesforBasicServices,andDefinitionsandAdditionalInformation
RelatedtoA&EServices.TheClientreservestherighttonegotiateanappropriatefee
onthisbasis:
APercentageFeeforBasicServices
FixedFeesforIdentifiedAdditionalServices(ProgrammingandMasterPlanning
inthisexample)
HourlyRateStructureapplicabletoAdditionalServicestobereimbursedona

DISBURSEMENTS
NormaldisbursementswillbereimbursedbyafixedfeeofINSERT__%ofthe
Architectsfee.
INCLUDEIFAPPROPRIATE:Thisdisbursementfeeexcludesatravelexpenseandtime
allowancewhichwillbenegotiatedwiththesuccessfulproponentfortripsgreaterthan
50kilometres.
