1. Design a digital low-pass filter using a Bilinear transformation method to satisfy the following characteristics, (a)
Monotonic passband and stopband, (b) -3.01dB at cutoff frequency of 0.5 rad, and (c) Magnitude down atleast 15dB
at 0.75 rad. (12.5M) OR
Write an explanatory note Chebyshev Analog filter design (Compare with Butterworth filter design, Chebyshev
polynomial & its properties, Derive Order, Pole location identification with example) (12.5M)
2. The normalized transfer function of an analog filter is given by
of an equivalent digital filter using the Matched Z-Transform method. Assume 3dB cutoff frequency of 150Hz and a
sampling frequency of 1.28kHz. (7M)
Write note on Approximation of derivatives method and it's properties. (5.5M)
